The point is it is unfair that you CAN just quest for it, regarless of how hard it is, while everyone else must quest AND farm 900G. I'd much rather have an insane quest than go braindead farming that much as well as faction questing.
It is just plain and simple not fair that any class can get something basically for free (Although it has not been stated if its entirely free, although if its 100G or less that is still entirely unfair) that another class will spend twice as long farming for. Hell as a Hunter I would welcome quests PERIOD, we have none. (Well not really anyway)
And your argument about having to 5-Man Scholo for it if its there is irrelevant except maybe for you since you have already done all your quests there, but Warlocks coming up behind you will already HAVE quests there you have to 5-Man for that, so can just do thier Mount quest at the same time. Same for Paladins, so that argument doesnt hold water.

It really shouldn't take months of grinding...
Unless you're going purely off grey loot and the occasional green.
Even then, killing enough, you can sell some of the high end grey weapon drops for like 3 gold.
But really, the gold from farming comes from farming various trade skill components, or hitting up chests and/or elites for rare blue drops, and selling them at the AH. There's not a whole lot else to spend money on, though it's still easy to stay poor at 60 if you're too careless with your money.

Explain to me the Justification of just why a Paladin or a Warlock should get a special mount, mostly free, for a quest? Even if its a Scholo quest? Where no other class can get an Epic Mount without paying 900G which will, more than likely, take much much more time of doing nothing but grinding. Nothing fun or exciting, just mindless, brain numbing farming for money. I have no problem with Paladins and Warlocks having unique looking, special to the class Mounts, that they quested for as long as I can get a mount by questing for it as well for the same reasons. Not if thier mounts are basically free with a quest however.
Hell.. If we want a Special Epic mount (In the case of Frostsabers, not sold in Darnassus), we not only need 900G, but also have to do mind numbingly boring farming quests in excess of 400+ completions for Faction to do it.
I don't really want a Paladin Epic Mount. It's another thing I don't need, and another thing other classes can throw in my face.

Yeah, none of those quests are worth 900g. They're annoying and there's lots of travel, but they're still not that bad. Hell, Onyxia keying is at least twice as hard as any of them.
I've spent hours upon hours, if not DAYS, farming for my epic mount. I'm nowhere close, as I've got terribly shitty luck with drops. I've never had a purple drop for me, and I rarely find blues. As such, it could take me months to farm at the current rate. No chance your epic mount will take like that long. Oh, and I'm relegated to a healbot during high end encounters, which isn't anymore fun than a ston/summonbot. (Oh, and 5-manning Scholo is annoying, but not that hard with decent players. I did it pre-patch, back when the mobs were harder, the spawns were faster, and the gas was deadly. We even did Ras. So cry another river.)
The horse summoning animations are very obvious - for paladins at least - while other classes have a relatively difficult to see animation.
I admit, this isn't exactly a deal breaker. I'm thrilled to be getting an epic mount for free.
A good solid week of farming Essence of Whatever could get you the money if you were really serious... And everyone else will be getting quests too. Why not at least wait to see what your epic quest will be before you get angry? Now... yeah, if the rewards for everyone else are crap, I'll understand. But at least wait and see? Just one thing everyone hasn't mentioned (edit: it was mentioned once, actually, I think. Sorry), the quested mounts have a mana cost. Several times, I've considered just buying a standard mount because I'm sick of being OOM at the end of a fight and needing to run, and then dying because there's a hunter and he mana-drained me, or whatever.

Niv Lep has about 20 epic mounts bought. One for a warlock even. We're not bitching that suddenly they don't have to spend 900g (918, actually, no f'n warlock buys the training), because we know what's worth money, we go out and farm it, and earn it. We don't go out and grind mobs hoping for grey/white/green/blue loot.. We get 15 people together and obliterate Teremus, then sell his orbs for 100g a peice (He drops 5, btw).
Anyone with half a brain and a guild (Those things where people help each other) realizes it's really easy to get a 900g mount. Yes, you have to farm it. Who's saying that I don't have to wait for a super rare spawn in an ungodly difficult area waiting for a 1/100 drop? Or some equally difficult crap?
I'm not bitching that hunters and priests get an epic quest, and I heard the same bitching that warlocks and paladins didn't have to spend 90g at 40. Why is the epic mount so different when honor will be enabled, and you'll be spending all your time farming honor for your PvP epic mount, while I'm still trying to get a 5 man together for MY epic mount?

If you have a guild that helps you... this shouldn't be a problem.
But.. I'm not sure you do.
You can get 15 together to farm cash. But not 5 to help with a quest?

The couple times we've bothered to kill him, he's dropped four and five flawless. Guess you're just unlucky. Alliance is stupid enough (remember, we're carebear RP server!) to buy them for 100g. But there are much more profitable items then that, it was only an example.
Besides that, I'll probably still end up grinding honor/cash for a regular epic mount. Why? Let's counterspell YOU in PvP and see how you like it. 
I also expect the mana cost to be a sight larger then the 40th mount (40th mount manacost at 60 is 617, iirc).
Like our warrior said.. if you can go out and quest for a spell based mount, but WANT to get 900g instead to counteract the fact that you can be silenced, drained of mana and not be able to summon your mount, then it's balanced.
Yeah.

There are so many things wrong with this post.
One your entire argument is economy based, Trent pointed out the other issue, the on top of that you make it sound like the PvP Based Epic mount isnt available to you as well? Which it is, as WELL as your Class Epic mount. Where as we have our Races Epic Mount and the PvP Mount.

You're the one who brought up "Not whining about Hunter's getting epic quests" not me. This is entire post is entirely pointless, because all you did was point out that we were indeed unfinished so had to completed contect, and now we ARE getting some completed content, which of course reaffirms that you have no place to whine about it.
I love the duck and run, trying to change the focus of the argument however, and bring up points ENTIRELY irrelevant to anything that has been said so far, even so far as to go on and bring up pets into the discussion.
