also yeah people sure are :downs: for having different takes on games than you right on brother
edit: I've been expressing myself pretty poorly so I guess I did deserve that sort of reply, but I think that 'wow is for plebes' attitude of yours would've manifested itself either way Kegwen fucked around with this message on 09-15-2008 at 01:58 PM.

A thought and a question.
While the T1 zones are rather mediocre looking, I must admit, some of the T2 zones are pretty cool looking. Barak Varr, Shadowlands, and Inevitable City were some of the more awesome zones I'd seen before the end of open beta after I'd decided that trying to quest and level was no longer worth it, and my time was better spent exploring.
I'd imagine that the areas only get better looking from there. Any idea where I could find some screen shots or anything?

Kegwen had this to say about Captain Planet:
That does seem like a more elegant solution than having the tank class respec to DPS like we do in WoW. I was looking at this through the lens of WoW pvp where you ignore/cc the people with plate on and kill their support classes.
And thats another benefit of WAR. With the exception of roots and snares, theres no actual CC. They've done a superb job at making it so there is absolutely no reason to not put your keyboard aside during a battle.
In the case of roots, every hit(this sadly includes DoT ticks from what I've experienced) against the rooted player has a 50% chance to break it. And snares don't last long, 5 seconds max depending on whodunit. Regardless, neither prevent you from acting(Every class has ranged attacks,) which is the peak of faggotry with WoWs PvP system. Snares are mainly around to slow people running for the squishier targets or prevent non-flee runaways. As well, every class gets a tier 2 morale ability that breaks and prevents disarms, snares, roots, and silences for 10 seconds. Tier 2 Moral is a joke to build up to in a large warband. During sieges I'd be sitting at max morale waiting on morale ability cooldowns. Skaw fucked around with this message on 09-15-2008 at 04:05 PM.
Also. I am not trying to get into an EC guild. Just want to know what server you all are playing on so maybe when I kill an Destro fag, it might be one of you.
I am going to check out one of the open RVR servers. Still got turned into a chicken when I was level 2 going to the DE side.
:let's run this shit into the ground:

Addy was listening to Cher while typing:
10s I can outheal Talonus
You wish. I rank top healer in almost every scenario I play. Of course, a fair share of the time I did 0 damage over the course of those scenarios, but that doesn't count.
UH OH.
Tal + Big Bad = VIKTREE

Addy had this to say about Cuba:
Hey, I gave you a str buff, give me some credit
You owe me 10s. I had what... twice more healing done than you?

Talonus had this to say about Pirotess:
You owe me 10s. I had what... twice more healing done than you?
I had over twice your DPS

There was much rejoicing when Mr. Parcelan said this:
Oh hay who topped damage, kills and renown for that one?UH OH.
Tal + Big Bad = VIKTREE
I hate you people that have more time than me to play
I'll be on more now that the paper is done, though. Falaanla Marr fucked around with this message on 09-16-2008 at 09:18 PM.

Close. We're on Phoenix Throne.
Anyone know where to get or how to get talismen fragments. Been looking all over for them and cant seem to find them anywhere.
Doing scavenging and brewing at the moment. Seems to be a good combo. I get alot of items that I can use.

Wow..and I was about to make a character on there at first. But then I was like...nah, no one will play on the actual 'RP' server.

No, Talisman Fragments come from Salvaging. Usually off of green equipment (not the items that are used specifically for salvaging).
Scavenging gets you Curios (talisman making), Water (Apothecary), Water Cans (Cultivating), and Gold Dust (Apothecary, for Talisman making).

Only thing really OP about Order is that Ironbreaker gets a knockback before any other class. Granted, it's a tanking class so it's supposed to be for getting grandmas off you, but way too many use it as an offensive throw.
In the far northern portion of Ekrund's RvR area, there's the Lair of the Bandit Queen, Renatta Betz. She's a level 11 Hero mob, should drop decent loot, and give a tome unlock for killing her. Since she's in the RvR area, the only time you can actually kill her is if you're level 11 or lower.
When you find her lair, you're given a tome entry about a dwarf prospector who tried to get inside, but couldn't due to needing a key. I'd imagine finding him, dead or alive, is the requirement for unlocking the lair, but I don't know where he's at. Tome entry says he disappeared somewhere in the Dragonback Mountains.
