but i was just using that as an example, i meant something like, when Abraham Lincoln got elected. The Civil War started because his views on Slavery pissed off a bunch of redneck southerners, like myself (not saying that i'm for slavery, i'm saying i'm a redneck southerner).

well, even at this incredibly early stage, it appears that Drys' predictions are holding true.. and judging by the Seattle Times site Bush is polling 55%-45% over Kerry..

Although I note Drys has called SC and has NC undecided, whil the Times has the opposite (NC called, SC undecided)

They're both called now.

Right now, it looks like Ohio and Pennsylvania are leaning toward Kerry, and Florida is still on the razor's edge, but very very slightly leaning toward Bush.

PA: Kerry 68% to Bush 32%... yeah thats a lean..

OH: Kerry 51% Bush 49%... too close to call

FL: Bush 56% Kerry 43%.... too close, but slight Bush tendancies

I note you called VA, but Seattle Times still has it in the air (at 9pm EST).. out of curiosity, what's your source?

Going into this race it was almost certain that it'd come down to controlling two of the three FLOHPA states.

It's getting very close.

You are correct. Best he could do in that case is 264. Had he taken Colorado and all the other swing states, he could've lost Ohio and still won with 273.
