The figure stops, still out of sight but near Fantasha on the cliff. It stops for a few seconds, seeming to take in the view. Then the wind picks up, and the hazy image that is visible of the figure, is torn apart. Wisps of the image fly off into the sky and the figure vanishes.
A bit later, at one end of a dragon skeleton that also is bridge, the wind picks up again. Strands of wispy material come from the air, forming together and bringing the ghost-shape of a person into view again. The hazy form fades even more, until it's grey color matches the surrounding white snow, and the figure is almost impossible to see. The figure moves forward, following Fantasha from the ground.

I think I missed the joke, what's mean?
/ooc the fact that you have a figure following Fantasha

There was a short quick noise that sounded a lot like someone shrieking. The ghost-image of a human appeared between Fantasha and the giants, a deep grey tone tone to the wisps of ethereal material (woohoo I got to use the phrase!!) as the figure completely coalesced. However, it finished forming not as a complete human, but rather a full ghost of a human. The ghost floated a few inches from the ground, and was wearing armor that suggested either a warrior of some kind. A glowing blue, semi-transparent sword was secured at each hip, but the ghost left the weapons alone as its hands reached into the sky. The ghost yelled, and was suddenly enlarged to the same size as the giant. With the two swords, now impressively large, the ghost swept it's arms up, and then slashed both swords across the giant's hammer. The weapon broke in half, both pieces flying to the ground. A quick spin followed by a similar slashing move and the swords swung through the giant's chest, sending the opponent staggering back as it clutched it's heavily bleeding torso.
The ghost muttered a few arcane words, and it returned to normal size. The swords returned to their places and the ghost turned around to face Fantasha, seemingly not fussed by the angry-but-dieing giant that was nearby. When the ghost spoke, its words were very smooth, a little quieter then average conversation level, and also completely calm.
"Are you all right?" The ghost asked, moving forward but still staying out of weapons range, "did he hurt you badly?"

Meanwhile, back in the prison...

Kedarien smirked, watching the assassin squirm. He pulled the vial away and backed up to the other side of the cell.
"Don't bother, I don't care how good you are at killing people, you're still under the effects of the gas so your lock-picking skills wont do you any good." Kedarien kept a plain expression on his face as he closed and returned the vial to his hip pouch.
"There are no guards nearby to listen in, it's just one rogue to another." He kept his voice as even as possible, showing no emotion.
"Feel free to speak in any language you want." For the last statement he spoke in Dark Elvish, as a test of the assassin's knowledge.
--------------------------------------------
Mean while the general slips from the prison and starts to take a walk out side but its more of a fast paced walk than a casual walk. He enters his house bolts the door and tosses a bag over his shoulder and then leaves his house. Walking at an even faster pace to the gate that leads to the hills. The ghost at first seemed to take on a look of relief that Fantasha was all right, but then its facial expression and body language turned to one of confusion.
"I...want nothing from you." The ghost said, the confusion was evident in its voice, but this new tone and stance reverted to its former self as the ghost spoke up again.
"My name is Sianj Desertwind, I have been watching over you for a long time. It is my duty to protect you." He lowered his head a little and stared at the ground, a look of deep thought on his face.

The general arriving at the gates he picks up alittle speed leaving behind 2 baffeled guards. Now, arriving at the hills the general makes a fast jog/run to the Karana's.

Sianj opened his mouth to answer a few times when Fantasha was speaking, but he held back, and let her finish. He lifted a hand, palm facing her.
"I thank you, but I have no need for the potion. You are correct in saying it is dangerous here, and I will follow you. I shall have to remain partially hidden, and...may I suggest that you also become invisible again?"

When the two reached the tower, Sianj carefully slipped back into his visible form, keeping a wary eye on the other people who were nearby. His hand touched the tree a half-second after Fantasha's, and then he was also transported to the Plain of Growth.

Sianj also looked away, a stern look on his face.
"I didn't know how to approach you. You'd be amazed at how people treat me...back when I still made contact with other true-planars like yourself." His tone was now tinged with frustration.
"After I was released, now remember this was many, many years after the expedition, I tried to see if anyone who might remember the mission was still alive. The people I approached in Qeynos tried to kill me, thinking I was some abomination, an undead evil. I tried to explain that I wasn't dead, but they wouldn't listen...all except one. A wizard from the guild in Qeynos, he listened. For a time I thought he understood me, then he betrayed where I was hiding to the Karana paladins...a dozen clerics and paladins came storming into my cave...not that they could do much, I just vanished under their noses." He took a breath, and then he looked like he had just remembered some long forgotten fact.
"Anyway, that's not all that important. I carefully entered the city archives one night, looking for any trace of the two expeditions, or to find out if anyone who might have known about them was still alive. Oddly enough I found no records...none at all, even in the General's files from the year of the expiditions. So what could I do? I had no one to go to, no one who'd listen, no one alive that would remember me. I couldn't just do nothing!" He sighed, staring off into the lake again.
"So I tracked you down, it didn't take long. I decided to remain hidden, out of fear as to what you might do, how you might react. I figured you wouldn't know about me, that you wouldn't know you had released me. So I also figured it was safe to continue operating in the shadows...but then I had no choice back there with the giant. I knew it would happen sooner or later, and to my great happiness you weren't in the least bit frightened by my appearence." He looked back at her, gazing at her face.
"Thank you."
The assasin falls unconcous once again.

Kedarien doesn't know that
"Some rogue you are, no assassinations are for a good cause. We'll just have to wait and see what the General now has to say." Kedarien stood up after double checking the strength of the binders. Taking one last look around, he exited the cell and walked down the long hallway to the guard post. Just before he started speaking he quickly reminded himself to switch back to Common.
"The prisoner didn't know anything, but he's locked up in his cell for further questioning upon my return. Don't let anyone else talk to him." The guard nodded, not too happy about having to listen to a rogue but they had seen him with the general earlier on. Kedarien then inquired about where the General was, and after following the directions of a few other guards, he arrived at the gates. The guards at the gate weren't quite sure which direction the General had gone, but their closest guess was towards either the caves of Blackburrow or the Qeynos Hills Guard post. Kedarien thanked them and headed for the guard tower...
Sianj took a step forward and nodded, as if the question didn't even need to be asked.

Mother Tunare looks upon Fantasha for a few and then upon the Ghost at her side wondering if Fantasha has knowledge yet of it. Shaking her head clear of the thoughts, she begins to speak her voice coming out like a strong whisper. "You have yet to complete the quest that I have sent you on my child. You have helped in catching an assasin but is all as it seems? I have sent for you not to re-assign you but to re-direct you my child." Touching Fantasha's shoulder for her to stand, she then cups Fantasha's chin. "As I have taught you follow your heart and your instincts. Listen to the voice of the earth and the whispers of the tree's. Last I have heard through the breeze in the air is that the General has left Qeynos. Find him my child, and take him back to the city. Release the Guild Leaders and Call for the council of Qeynos and let them deal with the Assasin that is caught and the General. Atm half of the 4 council members have gone to Freeport. I have already sent a messenger to tell them that they are needed back in Qeynos. Do you follow so far my child?", Mother Tunare then releases her chin.
~~~~~~~~~~
Fantasha stands when she feels Mother Tunare's hand on her shoulder. As she stands she looks into her eyes and lightly shivers when Mother Tunare cups her chin. Getting lost in Mother Tunare's eyes all she can seem to focus on is her words. When her chin is then released Fantasha blinks her eyes and nods that she understands. She begins to turn to leave but then turns back to Mother Tunare with one last piece of buisness. "Is there anyway to bring Sianj back to human form?"
~~~~~~~~~~
Mother Tunare stares straight ahead and off into the distance as if remembering something long ago. "I am sorry but I was there shortly after he died. He was beyond means of resurection. I was suprised the day that you came for your next quest to see his ghost by your side. How you managed to bring him back this far is beyond me. If anyone can manage to bring him further into life it is your duty to figure that out. Now other important matters are at hand my child be gone." Mother Tunare then turns her back to Fantasha and looks out a small window that has been carved out in her room as if totally dismissing Fantasha.

One of the theives laughs and points out north and then speaks, "He left this morning for Neriak."
The general at this walks up stairs changfes into his assasin gear and then walks out the door saying over his should, "If an assasin comes looking for me... kill him."
The bandits all nod their heads and then continued with their lives within that farm.
The gerneral now walked with all haste towards the Commonds. He snicked and mumbles, "now wont that necromancer be surprised when he finds out that I am 3 weeks ahead of scedual.. and that the gnolls are ready to begin the attack... good thing this necro is bringing an army of undead and Dark elves... not to mention a few ogres and trolls... and then me sitting Master Assasin..."
A short time later he neared the edge of the bandit camp. He'd never actually talked with this group before, but hey...one rogue to another and all that. Kedarien loosened the short sword at his hip, he suspected the General had something to do with these people which meant they would not appreciate Kedarien's presense in their camp.
~Time to go beat up some bandits.~ A hand on the hilt of his sword, Kedarien began making his way down to the camp.

Sianj kept silent, out of respect for Tunare. He listened to what Mother Tunare was saying as his eyes swept around the nearby area; spotting escape routes, ambush points, good places to mount a defense. This was normal for Sianj, he found it was a good way to pass the time for it kept his mind occupied while he listened and remained silent. When Tunare finished, Fantasha asked a question that caught Sianj's attention. It was touching, but he already knew the answer, in fact he also knew what Tunare hadn't said, what she couldn't say. The abrupt dismissal from Tunare was a little strange, but Sianj figured that she wanted to get Fantasha moving as soon as possible. He took a step forward so that he was standing next to Fantasha, and waited for her to move.

The general reaching the Northern Part of the Karana's stops at these wizard spires and quickly tries to look as generalish as possible before approching the bridge guards.
the guard shouts to him, "Halt, who are you and why you here this late?"
The general replys "It is I General Knightbane. I am in my scout armor as I have been tracking a necromancer."
"Ah, well may we be of any assistance?"
"Yes, there should be a rogue that is following me... make sure he doesn't leave this bridge alive. He, has commited many crimes and is seeking to kill me."
"Will do sir."
"Well I must be off."
At this the general contimued on."

The assasin awoke muttering some curses, "Damn that rogue, knocking people out; someone might get hurt one day."

Sianj stayed close to Fantasha, keeping an eye out for the various creatures that roamed the plains. He slipped away from her side for a few minutes, staying within visual range but placing himself between Fantasha and a distant Hill Giant. A short while later the Giant moved away, and Sianj returned to running with Fantasha. It seemed odd that she was headed to a bandit camp, but he remained silent and put a little extra effort into his invisibility. If any bandits became hostile to her, they would not be alive for much longer after their first hostile action.

Isn't it handy to be able to walk across half a continent over the space of 12 hours?
Kedarien finally came to rest in Rivervale. He had done a little contract work with the Thief's guild, so he cashed in on a couple of favors and the guild offered him a room for the night. The General was now becoming very confusing, Kedarien had expected an end point in the trip before they would reach the continental divide. Instead, the General was headed for Freeport, and possibly North or South of there. Faydwer did not seem a likely destination, but Kedarien started thinking up contingency plans to get word to the Soldier's of Tunare. It would help to have some backup, especially if Kedarien's suspicions about the General were true...
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The trip back to the Druid ring was thankfully quiet again. Even the lions stayed away for a change, so there wasn't much to do. He picked up the faintest of trails along the way, someone very good at hiding their tracks...which didn't tell Sianj a lot. He decided to file away the little discovery for a later time, if it was needed. People traveled across the plains regularly, it might have just been a rather lightweight gnome.
Sianj didn't particularly like Freeport. As far as people watching from dark rooms in quiet inns, it wasn't as bad as Neriak, but the city was still a little uncomfortable. Northern Freeport offered some relief, thanks to the Paladins and Clerics, but there would still be people watching. Watching Fantasha that is, Sianj corrected himself as he watched the sun set. At night he could roam freely in his unhidden state - expending little to zero energy - for he blended completely with the shadows...
