Fantasha roamed a tad bit through west freeport just to see if there was any change in the guards pattern of watch. Noticing not much of a change but more eyes on her then usual, she decided it wisest to head into Northern Freeport for it was getting dark. Upon Arriving in Northern Freeport she heads over to the cleric and paladin's guild. Passing the entrance guards they greet Fantasha with a bow saying, "Welcome, Healing Princess". Fantasha doesn't really acknowlege there existance but continues into the guild house. Going up many flights of stairs she comes upon some rooms that usually is ment for Great Leaders to stay. Seeing one of the guild leaders in the hall she asks if the council is still here.
The Guild Leader replys, "Yes, they have gone to sleep for the night."
Fantasha bows, "Well, before they head out in the morning can you tell them it is urgent that I see them and I seek there council. Also I am in need of a room for the night...are there any available for me to stay at here or are they all taken for the night?"
The Guild Leader waistes no time and shows Fantasha to her usual room. "Luckly, yours is still available. Not as many as the council arrived here last week for the visit. Three stayed behind in Qeynos"
With this news Fantasha is suprised but does not show it. She instead slips into her room thanking the Guild Leader for her assistance. Quickly closing the door behind her and locking it. She shrugs off her backpacks and looks for Sainj...since she can't see him she whispers his name..."Sainj, are you there?"

Sianj slowly came into view in front of the door. His form shimmered as it came back into focus and color.
"Yes I am here." His voice was just above a whisper, he touched his ear and then pointed at the door as he silently took a step forward.

/ooc I'm back!

The general reaching the end of the forest starts to head towards a lake where he can most likely get a room for the night as he is dreadfully tired and coukd really use some sleep before he continues to Neriak.

Upon reaching the lake a spy of his tells the general that he has seen the rogue that he was supose to be watching for. The general then pushes aside his tiredness and starts to head to a hidden camp where he can rest and let the rogue go on a wild goose chase.

Arriving at this hidden camp the general finds an unexpected surprise. He quickly starts talkign in dark elvis.

"Sir, what are you doing here?"

The Dark Elf just stands there then replys in a deep chilling voice.

"You better have a good report coming"

The general merely says," the gnolls are ready to attack and our main threats are dead."

The Dark Elf begins to cast a spell then grins at the general and says, "You have served me well in life... now serve me in death!"
The genral shrieks as his skin ignigts in a black flame and then peel from his body exposing only the bones for his inerds were incinerated in the evil flame.

The Dark Elf then smirks and sends a messenger to get the army prepared for the assult on Qeynos.

The messenger casts a spell and dissapears to alert the generals in Neriak,the Gnoll leaders in blackburrow, Highpass Hold, and South Karana, and the Undead Captains and Generals in Kithkor woods.

Now, the Dark Elf returns his attension to the general who has recovered from the spell. The necromancer says, "Go general. Your army of assasins awaits you in the catacombs. I trust you will attack when word gets to you." The general just nodded. The Dark Elf called the winds of death to take the general back to Qeynos.

It's ok, having just recently moved I know how much of a hassle that can be.

Sianj shuddered then looked up at Fantasha.
"I do sleep every now and then, but I try and avoid the dreams it brings. I will make sure that you and the council remain safe through the night, although with the paladins and clerics watching I doubt there will be much in the way of trouble." Sianj whispered in reply. He turned and moved to the door, then looked over his shoulder, a faint smile on his face.
"Sleep well." Without waiting for her reply, his slipped through the door. Not opening it, simple fading through the wood and into the shadows. The paladins would probably have a night patrol running through the building, and there was the slightest chance that he would be spotted if he took the stairs down. Glancing around the hall, he noticed a nearby window. Sianj broke into a silent run, dived through the window, and fell all the way to the ground, landing feet first in the shadow of an alleyway. He took one last look up at the intact window he had just escaped through, and then moved into the city, anxious to get his errands completed as quickly as possible so that he could set up his own guard on the council and Fantasha.

Despite how openly welcoming the halfling rogue's guild was to have a Soldier of Tunare stay for the night, Kedarien knew he had to get moving. So after about four hours of rest, followed by a series of thank you's to the various rogues in the town, he made his way to the Weary Foot Rest Inn.

"Come on Illizub, I know you're around here somewhere." Kedarien muttered, searching the back rooms of the Inn. He paused mid step, a sound catching his attention. Setting his foot down, he turned and looked over at a stack of boxes.
"Sleeping, why am I not surprised." Kedarien smirked and then walked over to a halfling that was asleep, back against a crate, and snoring. The halfling was dressed in mostly ringmail armor, with a black cape wrapped around his body. A short sword was tucked away in a scabberd that was sitting on his legs. Kneeling down, Kedarien shook the halfling's shoulder to wake him.
"Eh! Who's dare? Stop shakin' me!" The halfling rubbed his eyes and looked up.
"Oooh! 'Tis me good friend Kedarien!" Kedarien smiled and waited for the halfling to standup.
"Aaah know that look, you be needing some 'elp!" Kedarien nodded before replying.
"Yes Illizub, I need your help."
"Hah! Best news I hear all week! What can I do for ya?" The halfling, Illizub, pulled a root from his pocket and began to gnaw on it.
"I'm chasing after General Knightbane." Kedarien said plainly, Illizub's eyes widened and he chewed quickly on the root for a moment before lowering the food from his mouth.
"Oooh ya, no problem friend, I'm 'appy to help ya!"
The wood-elf grinned.

The general arriving in Qeynos hills at a spire of old starts to make his way to Qeynos when he remembers that he is now a skeliton... so he quickly started to hide and sneak but his crackling bones kept making noise, "Damnit, how am I suppose to get there when I cant even sneak." Then out of no where a gnoll scout shows up and readys hi weapon. "No wait, friend... it is I genreal Knightbane." Then gnoll just relaxed and started to say, "Good me thought you be one of dem skeliton things." The general understanding the broken common language just said, " I need to get to Qeynos where my regiment awaits but my damn bone joints keep making noise." The gnoll quickly thought of a pla, "Ok guy come tonight to take new shipment of Blackburrow stout, you hitch ride with him." The general nodded and they walked off to Blackburrow when a cart arrived and a few words were exchanged beteween the scout the guy and a bigger gnoll. In the end the general ended up in the cart with all the stout and on his way to the Qeynos Catacombs

The pair of rogues made it into the Western half of the Commonlands around midnight. After inquiring at a few of the inns and merchant huts, they found that the trail from the General seemed to have gone dry.
"'E coulda got 'imself a port..." Illizub muttered, thinking about heading into Freeport to hire a ranger.
"I suppose so, seems a little unlikely if he bothered to walk all the way here from Qeynos. He could have easily found a druid or wizard near the outpost in the Karana's." Kedarien was studying footprints in the soil again, they had backtracked from the lake to see if the General had done the same in an effort to set his pursuer's on the wrong track.
"Wherever he is he definitely went straight to the lake, hung around there for a short amount of time then headed off again. I guess we should go back to the lake and try and pick up that second trail again." Kedarien sighed and stood up, glancing up at the moon. Illizub also sighed.
"Those prints by the lake were differ'nt."
"Yeah I know, still, better then nothing." The halfling nodded and followed the wood-elf back to the lake where they had lost the General's trail earlier.
"Maybe we're better off just goin' inta Freeport and lookin' for a 'proffessional' tracker." Illizub was at the edge of the lake, while Kedarien was nearby pulling blades of grass out of a footprint in the mud.
"What, and attract more attention?"
"'Least it might pr'vide some results." Kedarien covered his face with his hands for a moment.
"We'll find him, trust me, we'll find the General."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Errand number one on Sianj's list, was to raid his maps cache that was hidden at a nondescript store in Northern Freeport. Sianj quietly entered the door, slipped passed the sleeping merchant, and made his way to a storage room in the back. Carefully moving crates and sacks of grain aside, he found the appropriate panels and pulled them out. Hidden underneath the floor was a small, darkwood case...locked of course. Sianj slipped a key from his pocket and unlocked the case, not bothering to lift the container from it's hiding spot. Several worn, dirt stained maps were inside, roughly fifty pages. Sianj flipped through them, pulling out three and setting them on the floor next to where he was kneeling. Leaving the case open, he lifted the first map and studied it for a moment. It appeared to be a map of the entire Plains of Karana, with important locations marked in red ink. Sianj reached into the case and pulled out a pen, marked a few new places, then rolled up the map and set it aside. The next map was of the Commonlands, this time he only marked one new spot, and scrawled "TDC" next to the mark. The third map was not of an obvious location. It looked a bit like a city map, but could have been a swamp, or even mountain range. Sianj let out a long sigh as he looked at the map, closed his eyes for a minute or so, then put the third map back in the case. After locking and re-hiding his map cache, he left the store, two rolled maps under his arm.

"Found 'em!" A triumphent call came from nearby. Kedarien looked up, an unimpressed expression on his face. The elf stood up from where he had been re-studying the General's prints and wandered over to Illizub. The halfling was kneeling in the mud and pointing at a slowly deforming footprint.
"That?" Kedarien asked with a doubtful tone.
"Yep! That's definitely the right one. Has to be." Kedarien supressed a groan and took a closer look. It was their best print yet, and with the hours passing by the search was becoming more and more hopeless. Kedarien was almost at the point of giving into the teleport theory.
"Okay, lets try and find a track." The two picked up this new trail by searching around the edge of a particularly wet mud patch. This new track however, ended quickly.
"Still nothin- hey what's that?" Illizub had just returned from a circle-sweep of the area. He was now pointing ahead of the two at a small lump in the grass that did not look natural. Kedarien pulled a dagger from his hip and the two rogues silently, invisibly, and very slowly, made their way over to the lump.
"Hmpf, nuthin' special. Rogue armor, low quality, fell off of a merch'nt cart." Illizub sighed. Kedarien however, kneeled down and began to throw the pieces of armor all over the place.
"'Ey! What's wrong?" Illizub took a few steps back.
"Hah!! This is the General's armor!! I knew it. We can't be far then, he's nearby." Illizub was now completly confused by Kedarien's outburst.
"Umm...ookay, but uh, where?" Illizub approached Kedarien carefully as if the elf might suddenly start swinging his sword left and right, hacking at the trees and the grass. Kedarien stood up and looked around, an intense glare in his eyes.
"Quick give me that gnomish telescope you're always lugging around." The halfling complied and handed the device to Kedarien. The elf looked out at the horizon for a moment.
"I don't see anything, but it's around here somewhere I'm sure of it." Illizub merely shrugged.
"The camp Illizub! Our scouts have spent months looking for a hidden camp in this area. We've intercepted a number of strange messages to Neriak from the Commonlands, we just couldn't find the source! We're close 'zub!" Kedarien was nearly bouncing with excitement. Illizub grunted.
"No more JumJum for you, wood-elf."

~~~~~
The bard's guild was open, the candles still lit and definitely not a place Sianj wanted to just walk into. Thankfully, he had other options. His destination, the guild's small mail room, was upstairs. Around the back of the guild Sianj found a few empty barrels, one right by the wall which he used to clamber onto the roof. The upstairs window was closed, but unlocked, and the mail room was dark. Inside Sianj found the box that held packages bound for Kelethin He wrapped up both maps, attached a note requesting that they immediately be delivered to the Kelethin Rogue's Guild, then he slipped the parcel into the box. With one last glance around the room, he slipped out of the bard's guild and made his way back to the Cleric and Paladin's guild. Given the size of the area he would need to cover, Sianj gave up on his original plan and went to a smaller sized option of simply guarding Fantasha's and the Council Member's rooms.
Getting back into the Guild turned out to be rather easy. A late-night messenger arrived and Sianj slipped behind the front sentries while they were a few steps away from the door. To their credit, the guild had set up a non-stop, all night long patrol of the building; but after watching their pattern for a few seconds - a standard patrol pattern that Sianj new well - the ghost slipped through the blind spots and made his way back to Fantasha's room. Objective's accomplished, Sianj took up post at the end of the hall, after making sure the window was secure.
Arriving at the hidden entrence to the catacombs at the gate the general hops off the cart and jumps into a small pool where he floats down into the dark damp catacombs. Upon arriving the general meets his small task force of men. He quickly noticed that they were mostly dark elf but there were some humans...
The general was greeted by 2 dark elves, one necromancer and a rogue. "Welcome, sir," said the necromancer. Then genral replied with, "give me my weapons Iernos." Then rogue got out a block box that contained a black dagger and then he de sheathed a rapier from his side and haded it to the general. "Thank you Iernos," responded the general, "You will be rewarded after the fall of Qeynos."
Iernos kneeled and then bowed to the general.
"By the graces of Tunare!" Kedarien gasped, Illizub merely yelped. Out of the ground, taking the two rogues by complete surprise, the skeletons appeared. Natural and highly-trained instinct snapped Kedarien's mind into combat thinking, in a split second he had the entire group counted and analyzed.
"We are so dead."
"Ne'er a paladin when ya need one." Kedarien and Illizub stood back-to-back; the skeletons slowly surrounded them.
"Any idea if there's a leader among them?"
"Ked, the're skilitons."
"Right, dumb question." Both rogues were well armed, they were traveling after all but by the looks of things the odds weren't highly in their favor.
"Okay, we're rogues, and they're all skeletons."
"Good observation."
"So, let's just rush them, and make a run for the toll booth."
"The guards, they will kill us."
"Damnit Illizub stop crushing my plans."
"You're the one wit all de bad ideas." For the moment, the skeletons just seemed to be surrounding the rogues, perhaps waiting for the halfling and the wood-elf to make the first move.
"Wait a minute, skeletons aren't just lying around waiting for people to show up."
"I think you musta lost yer mind. T'was an ambush ya silly elf."
"Right! So someone has to be nearby watching...you know, in case something goes wrong."
"Okey, that's great, but it doesn't help us...wait! I got it!"
"What? What?" Kedarien nearly turned around but stopped himself as a skeleton took a step closer.
"You jump at 'em, distract 'em, I'll go run off fer help." Illizub chuckled.
"Okay, here goes!" Kedarien lunged at the closest skeleton, his short sword coming free and skewering the undead in the chest. Illizub yelled something that the elf missed as he spun around and let a dagger go flying from his hand and into the head of the skeleton closest to Illizub.
"Ah was jokin'!" Illizub yelled, a dagger gleaming in each hand as he spun around the back of one skeleton, stabbed it hard in the spine then leapt upon a second skeleton...
Spin to left, jab in the ribs, turn right, slash to the legs...Kedarien moved through the skeletons as quickly as possible, throwing killing blows when possible and doing as much damage when he couldn't quite get close enough. Every now and then he'd catch a glimpse of Illizub, dodging around, knocking over skeletons then killing them. With another spin, Kedarien landed a blow with his dagger to the back of a skeleton, the undead collapsed to the ground in a pile of bones. Just at that point, something swung up behind the elf and struck him hard in the back of the head. Kedarien was thrown to the ground and he flipped onto his back. A skeleton with a large club was standing over him, the club held high. A glance to the right and the elf saw his Ragebringer lying on the ground just out of reach. Just as the skeleton swung the club down, a blur zipped from the corner of Kedarien's vision, into the skeleton, and then the blur and the skeleton were gone. The elf rolled over, grabbing his dagger and then jumped to his feet. With a growl he dived forward, shoving another skeleton to the ground. Illizub drove his own dagger into the neck of the skeleton with the club.
"Thanks 'zub, I owe you one." The two rogues stood up, looking around. It appeared they had killed all of the skeletons.
"Bah, put it on the tab. So what now?" Illizub said as he leaned down and picked up one of the skeleton swords.
"I'm thinking of heading over to the Druid Ring and hiring a paladin or two." Kedarien said, chuckling. Illizub threw the sword into the ground.
"Whate'er we do, we'd better find the person who set up that ambush. I want a word or two with him."
The general feels a sudden burst of pain and he knows what has happened. He quickly gets a scout to go to blackburrow and tell the commander on that side what has happened. The commander yells out,"suit up and move out.. we attack in 1 hour." The army of gnolls and Dark Elves assemble and march towards the city slaying everyone in their path.. The black banners of the Dark Elves and the Gnolls waving in the light breeze..
The general getting word about the attack organizes all the rogues to be ready to flank them from all three exits from the sewers... the human Necromancers, Evil Clerics, Shadow Knights, and rogues also assemble them selves and prepare for the signal to attack.
The Qeynos guards were caught surprised by the massed undead, night elves and gnolls...
They hurridly suited up and so did all the guild halls. The rangers and druids of surefall hurried over but only found that they couldn't get the flank cause the Night Elves had barricaded them in Surefall. 5 druids gated to Qeynos and the rest teleported to North Karana but they knew it would be a long run/walk and they might get there too late.
The archers on the battlement of Qeynos notched their arrows at almost the same time a low muttering of words came from the Dark Elven army at that moment in a lound painful shriek about 30 of the archers cringed and fell over dead.. The army of dark (the name for the attackers) then charged.
The general gave the signal and the human evil guild, the rogues, and his force quickly went out of the sewers via the warrior guild and the rogue guild... this quickly took the Qeynos fighters by surprise as they relized the Army of Dark had completly trapped them.. they fought till the last breath and then the glorious gate had fallen... as the force that had come from the sewer via the warrior exit started to make their way towards the gate to reinforce their comrades tthey encountered a small force of paladins they quickly reformed and charged the plaadins who took out most of the generals force but were quickly overcomed by the Shadow Knights...
The glorious city of Qeynos has fallen... The cleric guilds were twisted with dar magic... the townsfolk were made slaves and the general and the Dark Elf shadow knight named Draknir Darkblade reigned over the corrupted city...
The general sent a corrupted wizard to track down his rogue friend that has been following him the news about his new apperance and the fate of Qeynos..
"General Knightbane." A voice filled with disdain and contempt spoke, behind and to the right of where the general was sitting.
"How good of you to give advance warning. My collegues are now quite aware of your plans." Snapping out of invisibility, a human shrouded in a full-body length robe with hood, walked around the throne and stood in front of Knightbane; seeming not to care about the legions of undead and gnolls in the chamber. The human's face could not be seen, the hood too close around his head, but a predator's grin was barely visible.
"Before you order your troops to strike me down as no doubt you wish to, I have a message to deliver that you would do well to listen to." The man's hands were clasped in front of him, the robe's sleeves covering his hands. In a rather surprising gesture the man kneeled on the ground, awaiting the general's words...
"Oh yes, well I guess you'd like to know who's sending the message." The man's tone was almost joyful. He stood up and reached into his robe, pulling out a shimmering black orb which he held out in front of him and then let go of. Strangely enough, the orb stayed in place, hovering a few feet off of the ground. The top of the orb cracked open and an image of an erudite appeared.
"I am Xino. The man in front of you is a messenger of mine, charged with delivering this to you even at the cost of his life." The image spoke with a clear and strong voice.
"Your attack on the human city of Qeynos was not expected, so we must congratulate you on your success. However, you have no choice but to face the consequences for your actions. My messenger has informed me you have plans for attacking the city of Erudin...you would find such an attack perhaps more difficult then you first imagined. Observe." The image of the erudite wavered and changed to an image of the city of Erudin. Paladins and Wizards worked along-side, improving defenses, levitating catapults to higher positions, even contsructing a wall outside the gates in the Toxxulia forest. The image shifted back to the Erudite.
"This is only a small part of our defenses, and messengers have already teleported to the cities of Kelethin, Freeport and even to the continent of Velious to spread the word of your unprovoked attack. You may have been able to take Qeynos by surprise, but you will not find Erudin or any other city so easy a target." The image rotated to face the messenger.
"Grak'Ti, your service will be remembered." Then the image faded, and the orb slowly floated to the ground. The messenger kneeled once again, awaiting the general's orders.
The general grinned with delight.."Fools, do they not relize that with death spawns a new undead."
The general motioned for the messenger to stand.
"Would you care to join me for dinner... by that time I'm sure I'll find a body sutable enough to house my spirit for a while.. you know just until I need another," The general grinned with these words staring up and down the Erudite.. "Your welcome to stay as long as you please but I do request you at least stay for dinner, then you can go back and deliver a message for me," The general said these words as not to threaten the Erudite.
"I will have a few of your kind also released from the dungeon if you so wish.. I have no quarel with yall yet."
"So will you stay?"
The general relizing that he pretty much repeated the same question over and over just sat there waiting for a response.
The feral grin stayed in place, almost as if the man was wearing a mask.
"Certainly. And any messages you wish to deliver can be spoken directly to me. They will be delivered to the appropriate recipients as if you were talking right in front of them. One of our more interesting magic talents." The erudite rose and glanced around at the gnolls and undead.
"I must warn you...in my own words, not to trust the gnolls. An unpredictable bunch they are..."
The general motioned for the gnolls to leave the chamber.. they left confused but they left none the less.
"Yes, I know," The general spoke in more of an assertive voice, "We will deal with them when its time, but for now our main goal is to deal with the halflings and the barbarians... I know you will tell each of them that but that doesn't matter they will fall in the end."
"Now go get cleaned up my specters will walk you to a room that I have gotten prepared for you, rest dinner will be in about 2 hours."
"I have some important information to tell you tonight."
/ooc I just thought of something... how does a skelliton grin.. I just remembered the general was turned into one... oh well some way he dies
The specters led the man to a high quality housing area. Here they let the man in and then shut the door behind him and stood guard out side the door.
The general looking through all the workers found a person that'd be suitable for a night or two before their sould would be consumed, "I need a paladin," muttered the general, "they always have large souls to draw upon."
at this the general muttered a few words and with a painful shriek and a swirl of colors the person was consumed by the spirit of the general.
The Messenger sat down in the middle of the room, facing the door. With a sigh, he crossed his legs in front of him, and fell asleep.
/ooc what ever happened to Kedarian and the hafling?
At about 6PM a specter hit the back end of his scyth on the messangers door. At almost this moment a night elf glad in black armor with gold lining appeared in front of the door and waited for the messenger.
They're camped in Western Commonlands Heh, I guess they're waiting on your wizard, since they wouldn't know what's happened in Qeynos yet.
The messenger rose from his place on the ground and moved to the door. With a reluctant sigh he pulled the door open and waited for the spectres or the dark-elf to lead the way.
The dark elf quietly leads the way back to the general's guild hall. The general having inhabited a new body welcomed the Erudite. "Dinner is almost ready," the general said, "Make your self comfortable."
"I have what I want to say to your people in thought but I'd rather wait till after dinner to tell you what it is."
At this time a young dark elf maiden came out carrying a tray with fish rolls and some batwing crunchies, another dark elf maiden came out carrying a thing of vetetable soup, and finally a 3rd maiden came out carrying some beer braised meat of all sorts.
"Eat all you like, there is plenty more."
--------------------------------------------
The corrupted wizard appears in front of Kedarian in WC in a puff of smoke.
"I bring you news from the general.... Qeynos has fallen. The general wishes you to go there imediately, He has invited you to a dinner that he'll be having hopefully with the Erudites, Barbarians, and Halflings."
The messenger accepted a fish roll and a small bowl of vegetable soup from the dark-elves.
"Anytime you wish to speak is fine. I eat light so the sooner dinner is over the better..." The messenger spoke in a casual tone, taking a small bite out of the roll and smiling in approval.
~~~~~

The corrupted wizard appeared suddenly in front of Kedarien. Having had enough of surprises for the day, Kedarien's Ragebringer was already drawn and held against the wizard's throat while the messenger spoke. When the wizard finished, Kedarien drew back. Illizub fell to the ground in a fit of laughter.
"Qeynos fell? Guess I was right about the general." Kedarien said as he glanced down at Illizub who was still laughing.
"You gotta be out of your corrupted mind if you think I'm just gonna travel to Qeynos with you." Kedarien helped Illizub to his feet.
"Tell yer General that we acce't yer offer." Illizub said, wiping a tear from his eye.
"But tell him we'll be a couple hours late, there's business in Freeport we should attend to. And don't pull any of your wizard tricks or you'll be dead before you can begin to cast a spell." Kedarien made a mock bow in front of the wizard.

The wizard smirked, "I wouldn't dare try and kill you, but since you bring the thought to mind they might," The wizard pointed to a small group of blue skined orcs and about 5 ogres. At this the wizard cast a spll and dissappeared.

~~~~~~~~
The general ate his fill and then said, "I am ready to tell you my message, but first I need to ask you something." The general walked over to the Erudite he got within 2 feet of the Erudite when the chair the Erudite was siting in animated and fastened the messangers wirsts and feet down. The general simply asked, "Is that chair comfortable?"
"This is not my day." Kedarien growled, looking at the ogres and orcs.
"Smahtass wizahds." Illizub muttered, getting a firm grip on his daggers. Both of the rogues stood their ground as the ogres and orcs approached, ready to fight yet another group of enemies down again.
The ogre in the back of the pack went down first, something struck it hard in the back of the head. Two orcs followed along as well, both being picked up and crushed into the ground.
Kedarien and Illizub paused, so did the ogres and orcs who were suddenly aware of another person in the scene. The new attacker finally slowed down, and a human monk dressed in a pastel-blue robe appeared. Not even glancing at the two rogues, who were now rushing an ogre, the monk proceeded to fly through the orcs, a short staff in one hand.
A few seconds later, the two rogues and the monk confronted eachother, dead orcs and ogres lying nearby.
"Thank you for your assistance." Kedarien said, his dagger still at the ready.
"I was meditating on a nearby hill and I spotted the ogres, they do not usually travel in these parts." The monk spoke quietly, not wasting energy on loud words. Illizub and Kedarien glanced at eachother.
~Think we just found that backup we were looking for.~ They both thought.
"Lets go to the druid rings, it's safer there." Kedarien offered, and the trio headed out...
ooc:
Kedarien is a level 60 rogue, Illizub is in his 50's so that's why I had the ogres and orcs be killed so quickly. Sorry if that messed up your plans.
The General was probably expecting the Messenger to cry out, struggle, attempt to stand up, or any number of useless attempts to free himself. However, the Messenger simply smiled.
"Your methods are wasted, but I am ready to listen, as are my collegues in Erudin." There was no hint of fear or anger in the messenger's voice, only a calm tone and peacful expression
