Ooc: all who join this story line I will say strait up I wont post a whole lot of new stuff cause of school and I do play EQ alot still.. and I cant spell so please pardon that fact....anyways on with the story...

As a cloaked figure dismounted his brilliantly groomed steed the inn keep walked over to him and asks, "How may I help you, sir," the cloaked figure just drew out a poisoned dagger and killed the inn keep.

The figure then made his way casually into the tavern nearby. Once in side he quickly moved over towards an old gnome in sitting in the corner. He looked frustrated with about 50 metal bolts and gears in front of him and 3 mugs of ale to the side.

The gnome looked up and screamed loud enough to wake the dead; alas that was the last sound he made. The figure walked out of the bar and mounted his horse. Then he galloped away leaving the gnome with a dagger protruding from his throat.

The next day is brilliant out side... clear blue skys in the wonderful city of Qeynos. As for General Knightbane it isn't so nice of a day. The general awakes to hear the story from a few guards who claim 2 drunken men told them this. "Get out," he commanded them, " I have no time for this."

The next night they find a dwarf dead on the docks. The 2 head guards on watch report this to the general. This time listening the general postes a sign that reads "Freeport millitia looking to hire 3-6 people... please see General Knightbane for more information."

ooc: ok now who ever wants to be in this please send me a personal message or post that you go see the general... I know it prolly isn't the best but I'm just astarting making story line kinda wanna get some practice for GM'ing...

I am Fantasha Sapphirenight of the 55th Circle of Tunare. I have been sent to assist in your currect Dilema. I hear you have a murderer amist! This was sad news to hear, however, I also hear that you are highering 3 to 6 people to search for this murderer. If I may see one of the murdered, I may be able to bring them back to life in order to get information from the ones that ceast to live in order to help quicken the search on finding our murderer. If you are in need of my services you will be able to find me at one of the inn's in town. May life pervail and evil deminish to the depths of non-existance!!!

I am grateful that you have replyed to our plea. We are in lack of heros around here. Until more join us we will be solving this case as a duo *smiles* I hope you dont mind.
Anyways, I might be able to get the bodys but the clerics at the temple have not been able to ressurect the person. I am afraid to say that the spirit has a curse upon it. Weather this was the poison or a sepperate action we dont know but we strangly found that this crimanal left us a trail to a near by tavern. The bar keeper is being interrogated as we speak, but we didn't find anything else there... I am also grieved to say that I feel this assasin is lieing low, probaly planning something big we are hoping not one of the Qeynosian guild masters. We have doubled secrurity but we still have a hunch that he will slip past it.

"Damn this Kebreth," a guard said," its friggen cold out here." "Quit your bitching (quote from Drysarts comic)," Kebreth replied.

30min later...

"Kebreth?"
no answere
"Kebreth?!"
again no reply
"damnit Kereth this isn't funny"
still no reply...

at that very moment a terrifying shriek is herd..

The guard begins to run towards it... but stumbles over is friend who is dead! When he get back up all he sees is an evil grin and the head of the Karana Cleric guild master... That was the last thing he saw

Next morning...
"General, General"
What the hell do you want!
"Kebreth, Bixby, and High Cleric Karnik is dead"
What?!
the messanger just stood there...
oh you are dismissed messenger

The General headed out with all speed to find Fantasha... they must solve this case as soon as posible...

I start my morning early by a nice cold bath a little out of view from the docks. After my bath I head around town picking up some milk and muffins for a morning snack as I continue to roam the city. Out of the corner of my eye I see the General walking quickly as if he is on a misson. I raise my hand waving at him while yelling "Hail, General Knightbane! How fair art thou this morning?". I then quickly walk towards him to meet him halfway...

The general stos panting and bends over gasping for breath.

Oh hello I was just coming to find you. There was another murder. I am afriad to say that I was right it was big... Karana's head cleric and his two body guards.

This must be put to an end...

We found a knife with a note in it stuck in the headless guild master.

It read:
Dear General or whom this may concern,
These killings will continue till I have your head and your new "friends" with it. Muahahaha...Till then every guild leader will perish for I have but one quest... to kill you and become leader of Qeynos...

Kedarien found himself walking through the streets of Qeynos. He was a rogue, and most rogues would think twice about walking through Qeynos without making a few inquiries as to whether or not the guards would kill them on sight. However, Kedarien was a wood-elf, who had worked hard to improve his image with the good side of Qeynos.

His walking was not aimless, for he was searching for the General. He had been in hiding most of yesterday, afraid that the demon might return. Despite being completely drunk out of his mind, he had seen someone enter the inn, kill the desk clerk, and then kill some gnome who was minding his own business. Kedarien, as usual, had seated himself in the shadows, so he figured the assassin hadn't seen the elf hiding in the corner. However, Kedarien wasn't quite prepared to risk his life on that, so he had dashed into the hills north of the city and found a hole to crawl into for most of the next day.

Now, after the killing of the two guards, he knew he had to speak to the General. And as luck would have it, he rounded the corner and spotted the him, plus another person.

"Nre'fa-o General Knightbane!" He said as he came to a halt next to the man, bowing slightly.
"I may have some information that's usefull to you about...well, you know..."

The general showing Fantasha the note turns towards the rogue and says "what cant you see I'm busy." Then noticing his dagger and a fairly lage money pouch he yells " Guards! arrest this fiend... he is a rogue"

Kedarien's fingers slip to his side, brushing passed his dagger...
"Stop, wait...I'm no enemy! I'm a soldier of Tunare! Name's Kedarien, remember me? From that gnoll invasion a couple months back?"

Yea, I think so... my appologies... anyways tell me what you have we could use some inside information if thats what you got... If not a rogue would still be good to hep us find that crimnal...

The general then motions for his guards to set up a perimeter and let noone in to bother/ hear their conversation... he then called for someone named Heniks..

Heniks go fetch us 3 chairs and a bottle of wine and some ale for the rogue..

Vertue is distrupted from his meditation after hearing the yells, something about Rogues and arrests and what not. Growling to himself he gets up and walks over to the arguing people and says "How can this humble beastlord help you, since he obviously won't be able to continue his meditation until this problem is solved, and peace and quiet are returned."

the general asks Heniks to go fetch another chair. Now I guess i better fill you in. As you might as well know there is an assasin here in our fair city. We are probaly the only ones who can crack the case and save the city...

/ooc ok I am now saying that this is all i will type tonight cause it seems cyber is only on before I get home from school so i'm trying to limit my SL... Anyways now that we have 3 any more whop come on are civilians and if in our way will be locked up... Have fun... oh and btw each night when I post a evil grin smily face then that means to plz not post untill the next day. (sorry if this is an inconvienence... i'll open each day with another post)

I take the note from the general and read it over again trying to find any clue the assasin might of left. As Kedarien comes running towards the General, I put the letter in my pocket and red light begins to form around my hands, waiting for release. Standing by the General when all calms down I let the red light die down from my finger tips. I keep quiet and reserved to the General's side observing Kedarien. When the chair's are brought I take a seat in one for a min to only stand back up as Vertue walks up and introduces himself. Still saying nothing I take a seat in the chair again, pulling the letter from my pocket and setting the letter in my lap.

(ooc)Sorry that I havn't been on checking much today, but had a busy long day. I hope that here soon I'll be able to reply like crazy and keep up with you guys and this story. And btw it's Cypher not Cyber I'll let this mistake pass once

The general who has forgoten all about the druid turns towards her and says " May I please see the note?"

I look at everyone trying to figure out who he's talking to for I didn't relize we had a druid with us.

*blinks* and then relizes that she's right... must of been from that last gnoll raid when a staff hit him on the head..

I pick the note up off my lap and hand it to the General.

Kedarien eyes the note, getting a brief glimpse of what it says...
"Well, he's certainly a cheerful fellow." He remarked quietly. He then glanced over his shoulder as if he had heard a noise.

doesn't pay any attension to the noise he had just herd...

Ok, first off we need to find out where this assasin is hiding. Second we need to get him before he gets the guild masters and me. Ok, lets I personally sugest a trap. I also say we should have our rogue follow him back to his hideaway after he kills again or gets stuck and retreats... One more thing the bait (the guild masters) should all be dummys... I guess I could get a few guards to pose as them; but we need quite a few to cover every guild masters spot.

Kedarien turns back, an expression of shock on his face.
"Are you serious?" His tone was following along the same lines as his face.
"You think a guard will accept such duty? Using people as bait..." His voice faded off.

I have to agree here with Kedarien. What Guard would take on an assignment that only leads to death? We will have to find another way. And even if we did find a Guard to pose as one how are we going to get the Assasin to take the bait?

Yes, I am serious.Trust me we have some guards that would... *whispers* they are corrupted... I have seen there evil badge myself... but see they have to prove them selves so we rid the city of evil 2 ways... second we have a rogue, you know master of disguise and we just you know keep them in the shadows. Oh and the guards most likely wont die you see I will set up a trap system so that noone goes in or out unless I disarm the trap... Oh and just in case you quesiton it, I was a rogue once.

Kedariend glanced at Fantasha before turning back to the General.
"I don't know, it still sounds a little risky. I mean, this assassin...I know I was drunk but still, the way he moved..." Kedarien drifted off, thinking for a moment, "I've never seen someone move that smooth, he didn't make a single noise as he walked, despite the fact that most of the floorboards in the Inn creak and rattle when stepped on. When we get the guy someone remember to ask where he was trained." He trailed off again, and if his facial expression was anything to go by, he was once again in deep thought.

I sit there frowning and then watching Kedariend speak. A few seconds after he finishes talking I speak up. Well, if we do this trap we will need to pull all the Guild leaders to the same house for sleeping tonight and well guard it beyond belief and then put a couple guards in the place of a couple Guild Leaders. Where ever they normally stay or hang out that is where the Guards / Guild leader stand in must be. Maybe we will be lucky and he attacks the guard that Kedariend is watching so that he will be able to follow him. Kedariend, we will be counting on you to safely find his hiding spot and who he is. Once, we have him captured and in jail then you may ask him all the questions that you wish for I know alot about him intrigues you. Shall we get started on getting this set up if you all agree?

"Yes, I guess so." Kedarien replied, frowning.
"It occurs to me that we may have trouble guarding the guild leaders. Where in this city could we guard them and not have this assassin notice? For all we know he could be wandering around the city in plain clothes while we speak!"

*chuckles to herself* the jail cells...*continues laughing for a lil bit then putting on a straight face and whispers, "sorry"

We cant guard the guild leaders dont you see.... I mean a drunk could see that we have put up a large guard around this one area.. uhh duh thats where the guild leaders are... we have to get them somewhere where there is 1 way in and out and the post 5 guards with the leaders.

Kedarien scowls for a moment, then looks up.
"Hey, that's not that bad of an idea." He remarked, glancing back over his shoulder again before looking back at the General and Fantasha.
"They'd be well guarded, and out of the way. I guess getting the guild leaders to agree to that would be the hardest thing of all."

/ooc ok I really need to go play some EQ... so I wont post for a while but keep posting and brainstorming I'll be back around 7pm EST and will stay for an hour before I gotta go on Lguk raid with guild...

My face goes from a little smile still left on it to straight my mouth kinda hanging open when you agree with the idea of the jail. I turn a shade lighter in the face and croak out, "umm..ok." I quickly then recover and try to compose myself. "Maybe, for there sake why don't we just have them arrested and once there safely in the jail we explain to them the sitation but til then not tell them so it looks believable.
The one that the guard is taking place of will go in there with the General and the General will explain the situation to the Leader they would change outfits and the Guild Leader in the Guards uniform would walk out with the General to gather supplies for what would make the rest of the Guild Leaders at least comfortable in the cells? Just an idea?"

*blinks a few times* Damn your a good thinker... thats a great idead... glad i hired you.

*blushes, smileing from ear to ear*

"Yes, that would work. Except for one thing." Kedarien said, raising a hand.
"We need replacements for all of the guild leaders. If one is missing the assassin would easily smell out the trap."

Ok, I can get that to work out... Kedarian I need you if you would to track this guy down if he does kill a guild leader, well guard in our case, tonight we will put this into action....

The general calls his guard friend over whispers something into his ear...

Ok, lets go get some drinks... they'll be on me... no need to worry bout the guards it has all been taken care of.
