Actually, a 15 year old that doesn't want to drink, have sex, do drugs, etc, is to me pretty inspiring. A 25 year old who has never had sex, done drugs, drank alcohol, etc, is to me pretty boring.
The key is moderation. It's ok to experiment carefully. (don't drink and drive, if you have sex wear protection, if your going to smoke pot, have large quantities of Pringles and Twinkies, etc.)
The truth is, you could walk out of your door today and get hit by a bus, and that's it for your life. Unless you believe in reincarnation, you only have one shot at life, live it to the fullest.

If you are a born-again Christian or part of some other doctrinal dogma (like I used to be), then none of this really applies (although many hard core Christian sects still think drinking is ok.) If you sound like a public safety announcement all the time, I think you separate yourself socially from the large swath of society that helps make this country great. If you go to any mainstream University you will be hard-pressed to find cool people who don't have a drink on occasion or who don't have sex on occasion.
