Enchanters? Offensive capabilities?

You mean Your Dementia spell was resisted followed by massive aggro and swift death?

Casters get the short end of the stick through the entire game, generally. It's just the way it is. Each caster class have their own woes.

Yep, which is why I quit my druid. The one thing I didn't like about them was too much to bear, and that's lack of specialization/class defining ability.

Now I kick stuff. And I'm happy.

Hey! Wait! I got an idea!

Shamans are only supposed to slow and dot...let's take their nukes away!

Druids are only supposed to snare and...uh...snare and...dammit, take their nukes away too, they don't need to be quadding anyway.

Enchanters are only supposed to mez and haste. Their nukes are resisted on most everything anyway, let's just take their nukes away completely! Oh, and their dots, too.

Magicians have such uber pets, damn them! They're over powered, lets take their nukes away!

Necros have so many dot lines, and a decent pet, why do they need lifetaps? Gone.

None of those classes were supposed to nuke anyway. Cept Mages, sorry, didn't want you to feel left out.

Oh, I forgot Wizards? You're right, all they're supposed to do is teleport. Good-bye, Wizard nukes!

I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piña coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

Shrooms in Fungus Grove are an example of what I was talking about.

They cast.
Meaning its not an instant effect, it has a casting time.

Mages have their multiple resist check DDs. Mod Rods. Summonable rebreak gear. Summonable Resist Gear. Damage Shields. CoH(Where acceptable) And on the occasion its allowed during a raid, their pets.

Where as enchanters in these newer, high level encounters have Agro-alters, Haste(Easily reduced by Bane of Thule, newer shamanistic mobs choice of spell. Do they even cast it? Seems like its a proc.) and Mana Regeneration. Look, Demitri! I even threw in Agro-alterers! Hee. Right, anyway.

Does that clarify, Fal?

Personally, what I think Clerics need is a bit more combat ability. Right now, they simply can't defend themselves if they're attacked. Unless they've found a weapon that gives much needed stats, there's no use in having them.

I think Clerics should be more like D&D clerics. The healers of the game, but also capable in combat as well. In D&D, the clerics are actually in the front lines, fighting with the fighters. In EQ, they're sitting on their asses and healing. What would be more fun?

Would've saved me quite a good chunk of plat through out the game. With one Necro dot line overwriting our only line and all.

And the fact their really the only pure-caster that can wear alot of plate-type armor means nothing. Better than Shaman Chain, Druid Leather, and Int Caster Silks.
