Heh. Local gaming legend has it that someone was playing with a DoMT, and lost all their items, then got a wish.
Their wish was, and I quote:
"I want all my shit back!"
Needless to say, he got his wish.

Drakkenclaw: There are many forces in the world which have sway over existence, and it is folly to toy with any of them.
Blayne: What do you think I am, insane? I don't play with fate. I deliver it.
Pantaloon: Well, this is going to prove a novel experience no matter how it turns out. Though the loincloth thing HAS happened to me before - that crowd had no musical taste whatsoever... Anyway, gimme a card.
Necromancer: How DARE you imply that I was involved in a rude act with my undead servant! I will flay the flesh from your bones! I will summon a thousand maggot-ridden corpses to gnaw your flesh! I will trap your soul in-

If it's bad, I can always use my get out of bad situation dealy.

(Anyone's character ever decide to play "52-pick-up" with a Deck of Many Things? I've seen it done in a campaign I was watching. Of course, it was a chaotic neutral character.)
Diplomacy, and a Keep. At the door of the keep is a skeleton in a black cowled robe, with a scythe. Defeat Death or be forever destroyed.

Your armour and weapons appears in a blacksmith shop somewhere, half forged. your clothes in the market, and your money in other peoples hands, and your property unsold to you and un-built on. Yer still outta money and outta soul. In a loincloth. (you got your wish... items back exactly as they were before you pulled your first card. Wishes are finicky, shoulda listened to Gikk.)
Aani: Sun.
50,000XP and a wonderous item.
Aani has good karma.
Malkav: Key and Euryale.
You gain a major magic weapon, and a -1 penalty to all saving throws.

Well, I'm off to my keep where I'll spend my time being a good ruler and use that knowledge of the dilema thing to defeat the big monster that's always around somewhere that's been bothering the keep.
Since I'm to scared to make another wish right now, I'll just draw another card.
*grabs a card and hopes for the best*

I wish for a large keep in which everyone likes me so no hooks attacked kind of thing
I also wish that a large pile of riches appeared in front of me, on the GROUND in handy bags for carrying, not molten, not in pieces just arche-typal riches, no strings attached

I've seen a GM set up several skellies to play poker with a DoMT. Drawing a card and getting the effect is something you have to willingly do, and they have no will. Therefore, it was normal cards to them.
The players didn't know the deck was anything special. Someone messed with the cards.... it was Bad. Very Very Bad.
(Death appeared, and everyone jumped into the fight to help their friend. Time for new characters.)

I'm an individual. Just like everyone else!
Bars surround Jalal and he's whisked off to another plane, imprisoned.
Trent: Gem.
Your choice of fifty precious gems or twenty five pieces of pricy jewelry. Lucky you, this will help, but you still have no pants.
Ruvyen: Well, actually the worst that can happen is your soul getting sucked out of you, or death fighting you to utter destruction. Either way: The Fates.
Avoid any situation you choose once.
Lyinar: Balance.
You feel your motives change.
Nem-X: Skull.
Death appears before you. You must defeat him or be forever destroyed.
Sorry Nem.
