And I find it humorous that the people who put the Darwin fish on their cars don't realize that Darwin was a devout Christian himself. My intentions for putting the tag in my sig was NOT to turn the rest of the community against the person in question; I as well think that's kind of stupid. I have not and will not over-exaggerate or flat out lie to get somebody to dislike them--hell, I've never publicly (and rarely privately) spoken against them. It's not anybody else's business.
Mostly for the reasons Azymyth stated, I'm removing the tag from my sig. I'm not trying to hatemonger, and although it was foolish of me to think otherwise, that's what the whole thing seems to be about.

As for the other IRC network, when Drysart finally brought back up the IRC channel on his own server, like it was originally, nobody came because everyone kept talking about the other one. Bearing this in mind, I can see how something liek a filter could aid in launching his channel. Since that was a while back, removement of the filter NOW, wouldn't really hurt anything.
As for the idiotic misspelling of the word 'the', it was cute at first, and got old. Fast. People kept driving it into the ground. EVERYONE used it. In EVERY thread. In almost EVERY post. People used it both for praise, and for flame. I'd eventually get annoyed as well if I paid $500/month to see, in practically every thread, by at LEAST every other person, 'this is t3h funney' and 'this is not t3h funney'. If you can't come up with a REMOTELY intelligent response, or at least one that requires a TINY bit of effort, why respond? A filter here might have been a little overboard, but everyone here is too stubborn to listen to anyone who has a different view.
As for the recent filter, it's against a VERY hateful subject, yet people are still talking about it and asking about it and whatnot.
