Nope, Suikoden II is a video game, a very good RPG series, my sigpic is from those games as well. The series' claim to fame is the sheer number of characters who join your group, over 108 in each game.
As for the APF, and knowing how most in-jokes get started around here, I would guess this is from IRC, possibly starting from a mistyping of "AFK" (Away from Keyboard), which, after a ridiculous train of conversation, grew into epic proportions. I could be entirely wrong, but that would be my guess.
Edit: there's something strange going on around here. When I typed it, the k was replaced with a p. Same when I tried to edit it, thinking I had made a typo. Maybe this is bigger than I thought, if Drysart's in on it. It's a conspiracy! [ 12-04-2001: Message edited by: Chalesm ]
