Why should I stop? What are you here for? All your type ever does is hurt people! You lizardmen are evil! Just go away now, before I have to hurt you! [ 02-23-2002: Message edited by: Falaanla Marr ]
You appear to have run out of stones, and getting more would require landing. There are, however, other things that you could throw, which you might be able to gather from the trees. After your last comment, the large lizard creature seems to ignore you.
You! Yeah, you Mr Lizard!
Stop stealing the food! Get out of here!
The lizardman approaches you, with a thick strip of meat in each hand. His stride is resolute, indicating that his intentions, whatever they may be, are set in his mind.
Ruvyen & Willias
Without taking any notice of you, the lizardman walks past, within a few feet of where you stand. The creature seems to have very little interest, if any, in your presence.
When he starts to walk towards herself and Tay, she only made a slight feline noice, nothing threatining. Frey still won't stand up, not willing to wake her owl.
"This was for your friend. Sleep seems to have a firm grasp, though. Beautiful creature." He then turns, and in walking up to Ara bares the arm with his brand on it.
"You seek this?"
Your landing, though delayed, proves successful. After following the creature through the ducks and turns, it finally stops to draw the brown cloak away from its left shoulder. Your feet touch down on the top of the creature's head.
"Do what you do," Ithar proclaims suddenly. Darting out of the grasses, the little bird pops out of the grasses and past your feet. It once again makes a nest in the scarlet strands upon the half-elf's head.
Drakkenmaw
As you draw your cloak away from your shoulder, you feel a gentle pressure on top of your head. Whatever it is does not seem to weigh much, as it places no more strain on you than does the bag on your shoulder. A little bird flits by at your eye level, and lands in the red hair of the half-elven woman who asked you to reveal the mark on your arm.
Reyolen
Almost at the half-elf's demand, the lizardman, Drakkenclaw, walks over to you. He brushes his cloak away from his left arm and shoulder. There, burned into the scales, is a complicated brand. You have seen the elaborate symbol before, though only on rare occasions. For the moment, you do not recall its meaning, though you are certain it is significant.
It appears that the little winged girl is still at her games. She followed Drakkenclaw as he approached, and now lands feet first on the lizardman's head. At the same moment, a little bird flits out of the grasses, and nests in the red hair that you saw removed from Ara's head late last night.
Willias
While you are looking away, you cannot see what transpires. However, after a moment, you hear in a deep, rasping voice, "You seek this?" The sound is followed immediately by a ruffling of cloth.
Aanile & Taylen
The lizardman leaves his offering, and departs as abruptly as he approached. Twin Moon remains asleep on Freya's lap. If handled gently, you may be able to slip the bird into a more portable location. On the rare occasions when you have had the need to travel while Twin Moon slept, Freya has always carried the bird in her arms. However, if Soranil is indeed in the area, it might be better to find a more... stable nest for her to rest in.
Ruvyen
Zzzz...
You hear a deep voice proclaim, "You seek this?" There is a tremendous ogre standing in front of you, holding up a huge gemmed axe in one hand, and laughing maniacally.
Hey you! You! Yeah, You! Why are you here? What are ya tryin to do? HUH?
She then heard herself addressed, and says...
Im tryin to get this lizardman to leave here! Why arent yall helping me?
"How'd ye get that?" is all he manages to say.
Turning towards the lizardman and his daysprite rider, Ara starts speaking in Common again, "He doesn't seem to mean any harm. After all, if he did, a frail little girl like you wouldn't last very long up there."

[GM] The actions below were replaced due to changed in circumstance. [/GM]Silvan nods his head in the leather garbed elf's direction. "If everyone is up, we need to get organized. Why don't you come over here, you two?" Silvan says a bit louder to the cat and leather clad elf. "We need to figure out what we are going to do today. I am desperatly in need of supplies and I would rather find out who will come with me to where ever I may be headed. I suppose your'e in this too, Drakkenclaw." With that, Silvan realized he had said a mouthful and took a deep breath. "What are you all here to for?" Silvan finished with.

First use of the chronology break. This is where Drakkenclaw's grasp comes into play. Reyolen, you may choose to keep your actions as of that point, or to change them.
You can understand most of the dialogue going on around you, but not all. The words spoken by the red-haired woman to the robed elf beside her are in a language you do not understand, though you have heard it spoken before on a few occasions.
While you cannot tell exactly what you have grasped, it is quite certain that your jab struck home. Your hand closes on a slender limb, shrouded in loose cloth.
Falaanla
In all the confused conversation, you do not even notice the lizardman's movement until it is too late. With a single quick motion of its arm, the creature clasps onto your leg at the calf... the entire calf. While its grip is not crushing, it does prove very uncomfortable very quickly.
Reyolen
Before you even ask your question to the leather-clad elf and his feline companion, the lizardman lashes upward with its right arm, grabbing hold of the winged girl's leg.
Aanile
While you have no trouble reaching your quarterstaff, getting Twin Moon to roost on it is another matter entirely. You will need to be cautious to move the sleeping bird from her current perch on your leg without waking or startling her.
Ruvyen
The ogre laughs, "You will not live to find out!" Without warning, a loud hyena-like cackling arises from behind you, and you find yourself getting dizzy.
HEY! LET ME GO! LET ME GO YOU THING!
SEE everyone? I told you he wanted to hurt us! I TOLD YOU!
Saeessira starts furiously kicking at the hand grasping her leg...
I knew all you lizardmen were evil! Im gonna have to hurt you if you dont let me go!!!
Sae then thinks for a moment, to herself...and to Ithar also...
"If that lizard wants to mess with me, I can play games with him. Ithar, see if he has any coins on him you can...liberate...will you? Ya know, shinies?"

"You were asleep when I came back here. Had I wished to do you harm, you would've been harmed. Instead..."
He turns her to face the meat he had prepared, and continues speaking.
"...I prepared your kill for you. I have acted not as a predator against you, even though your actions should have prompted creatures capable of harming you to force you away. In doing so, I have broken my training and my word. But you will not be harmed."
The lizardman's eyes, which were closed during his small speech, open once more. He looks curiously at the little girl.
"I have not seen one of your kind before. What are you?"
ooc:Falaanla
Drak, consider yourself warned. Do not assume success, even in strength checks against a daysprite.
"Coins!" the little bird exclaims. It hops out of the half-elven woman's red hair, and flits down under the lizardman's cloak. A few seconds later, you hear Ithar again, "Hey, it's dark in here!"
The lizardman pulls you down from atop his head, and begins speaking in a low, rasping voice. His pronunciation is quite clear, and slow enough to make out even with your current agitation.
Reyolen
The little girl starts kicking Drakkenclaw's hand, and stomping on the scales atop his head, in an attempt to free herself. Her wings beat wildly, and she yells in a high, shrill voice. The little bird flits from the half-elf's red hair, down under the lizardman's cloak, and into his shoulder bag. Then the lizardman pulls downward, and the little girl's body follows. He speaks slowly in Common, and his pronunciation is much better than any lizardman you have met in Vista.
Drakkenmaw
The little girl starts struggling frantically in your grasp. You feel several thuds on your head, though they prove little more than an annoyance. She is also yelling rather loudly. Despite this, you can make out most of what the robed elf says to you, broken by short instants of silence immediately following one or two of the impacts from the little one's foot.
She resists your effort to pull her down, but in the end your grasp proves stronger. With a stiff yank, you manage to pull her down in front of you.
Willias
You notice the lizardman's arm snap upward out of your signt. There is a commotion and a lot of yelling and speaking, mingled together and a bit difficult to understand.
Aanile & Taylen
There is a loud commotion coming from the group nearby. The little winged girl is above the lizardman's head, her leg held there by his large hand. Everyone is talking at once, and the tension among them seems to be rising quickly.
Looking at Tay, she only shrugs, not knowing why the others seem so aggitated with the pressence of the lizardman. After all, if Tay seems calm and alright with him, why shouldn't the others.
Hey! Stoppit! That hurts!
She hears Ithar's exclamation, and she then starts talking, hoping to keep this lizard from realizing just what is going on.
For one, I don't think I could manage to stomach that kind of meat.
And How am I supposed to know you didn't plan any hostile actions? Sure you COULD have hurt us while sleeping, but eally. There would be some that would enjoy hearing the screams and such from the victims, harming a sleeping victim wouldn't bring that pleasure to them.
And I am a daysprite. I would think that you may have heard of my type by now...
Saeessira then thinks for a moment...
"Ithar, whatever you have found, bring it out here. I've got an idea..."
"Too heavy!" the little bird says to you. "No coin, no shiny, no.. hey, food!" Ithar shows no signs of coming out from wherever it went.
The lizardman finally lets you go, and gives a brief apology for his actions. It seems rather an empty gesture after grabbing you by the leg and yanking you down, but perhaps that cannot be helped. You have ment none of his kind before, and seen only very few from a distance. Most of your understanding of their kind comes from stories your mother told.
Aanile
Twin Moon sleeps soundly on your cradled arm. She does not stir as you stand up, nor does the bouncing from your shoulder shrug disturb her sleep.
You hear the robed elf call you and Taylen over. He asks the two of you to help him 'settle' something... possibly whatever commotion is going on between them.
Taylen
Your companion rises carefully, supporting herself on her quarterstaff, as she cradles Twin Moon on one arm. Between the sleeping owl and Freya's composure, there is a serenity to the pair that has always impressed you. In a way, it reminds you of the life you always hoped for.
IC: Khazmon quickly looked around on himself and around for any weapons.
Khazmon feels a little dizzy as the hyena-like laughter sounds behind him... Wait... Behind him? An attack?
