I'm doing a pretty good job of getting 5 or 6 kills a game of AB or WSG, along with 15 or more deaths, low healing amounts, and mediocre damage amounts.
I mean, I'm doing okay but I know I could be doing a lot better, since as a paladin I was averaging at least 6k healing a BG (though my damage was about half of what it is now).
Essentially, I run in, drop Earthbind, Magma or Fire Nova, then enter WTF protocol along with any shocks that would see proper use until I generally quickly die.
I'm only level 28 atm, and I'm getting my ass kicked pretty bad. :/ (Note, at this time I don't have a 2h weapon. Don't plan on wasting much time with them, since I'll be using dual wield starting at 40. That, and for right now a shield makes up for my shitty leather armor and allows me to take hits in PvE.)
But in the 20s bracket, no matter the server, you're gonna get rolled by twinks like it's nobody's business.

But eh, it's fun when you find an equally geared opponent. After killing twinks non-stop, I generally smash those into a fine powder.
What's scary though is that even though the Blood Elf level 20 paladin weapon is inferior to the Alliance version, BElf paladins still kick more ass than any Alliance paladin I've seen around my level.
Especially when one hits you with Hammer of Justice and you get slammed by 4 Judgements of Command. D:

As a fire mage, I have yet to find a race/class/spec combo that isn't unbelievably easy to kill. This includes Hunters, Rogues, and Warlocks.
Nether Protection can cause problems, but it's not too difficult to work around as long as I don't dump all my instants on someone before I realize it has procced.

Also, race doesn't matter for shit when it comes to stats. There's hardly a difference between any race. It's something like 2 stat points. You're pretty ignorant if you didn't realize that and were about to spec down holy just to make up for a 10 hp difference. And then solo on top of that.

Yeah, as has been said before... BE's don't "lack" any stats, no more than any other race. At 60 you are looking at a difference of like 3 points max from another race in a stat, at most. Race is about cosmetics and the racial abilities you prefer. And what the hell would you DO with strength as a priest anyways? O_o

Fuckin' fireballs for 1600 base hurt like fuck though.

Pyroblast
Then go for Ignite, maybe. Burning Soul may actually be better than the +crit damage.

Fire dots don't break dragon's breath.
Before that, fire is a painfully slow grinding spec.
