All Evercrest has been of late is a lot of Conservative and or Christian Bashing with a bit of Liberal bashing thrown in by Maradon. EC is not an accurate cross section of the voting population. In fact it is far removed from it. The population here is much younger and more liberal than 90% of the United states. Even Liberal states would have a higher percentage of Conservatives in a normal polling pool than you find here.

And the fact remains that I find many of the Liberal opinions posted here range from ignorant to downright stupid. Just as you probably feel the same about my views. However to call the person stupid is childish and quite arrogant.

Edit for Sage:
State Rep: Waiting for the old horse currently in to retire. There is no way to beat him currently, not by me or anyone else. Probably 08. Nothing to really explain anyway. If I had been married to one of them and had an affair then it would be one thing. As it was I was simply dating more than one person at the time. Something that many people have done. Nothing Nefarious about it. Hell one of the people in office right now had an affair with one of his male clients. Nothing big has been made of it and there is a lot more dirt there than there will ever be on me.

In other words, there's not possibly any fault with you, it's all a liberal conspiracy.

How amazingly fitting.

No, arguing a slippery slope and comparing homosexuals in relationships to pedophiles doesn't display a xenophobic trend. </end sarcasm>

Slippery slope arguments and slandering a group by comparing them to classified criminals has long been a tactic of those who wish to denigrate a minority who they have a xenophobic dislike for.

There's a lot of apathy at this board, too, though. I'd say the apathetics outnumber the liberals. My guess is that it's not just your conservative views getting you votes, it's some of the other things you do, too.

In fact, I voted for you as being the dumbest. I feel I'm pretty moderate (though it does seem like I'm constantly at odds with you and Maradon, I think it's more the way you two state facts than what you actually say). Some of the other things you do set me off. For example, you don't seem to have a mind of your own. You basically take what you're handed and stick with it. I don't think I've ever heard you say bad of Apple, and most fanboys will at least have a few complaints with their obsession.

Maybe if you start thinking you'll not get as many votes in this poll.

I'm sort of with Demos here in that xenophobia applies firstly to that which is different from you and secondly to nationality-based prejudice.

The dictionary definitions won't be much help, because you get things with 'or' like:

quote:
fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners or of anything that is strange or foreign

The Oxford English Dictionary defines 'xenophobia' as a "morbid dislike of foreigners."

Even if it could possibly be taken any other way, it seems that Demos has taken a word which sounds like a nice profound criticism of poor Azizza, without knowing what the word in question actually means.

I was going by what in my opinion is the best definition I've seen.

quote:

"Xenophobia describes attitudes, prejudices, and behaviour that reject, exclude and often vilify persons, based on the perception that they are outsiders or foreigners to the community, society or national identity."

I can't think of a better description for the methods being used against homosexuals, by trying to place them outside of our "national identity".

Homophobia is a much more specific word than that which Demos meant. Basically, he's trying to say that Azizza is afraid of any form of change (I believe.) Which isn't far off, because as Azizza's posting history has shown, he's kind of traditional.

As we can clearly see, voting for Azizza makes you a liberal, and voting for Kennatsu makes you a liberal.

For the rest of the options:

Ruvyen - Voting for ruvyen is like ice-cream. Probably strawberry, why? because red is a liberal color.

Geeorn - Tuna?

DPT - You're a sick person, you probably like going to a park to watch the children riding bikes for the first time simply to witness their crash.

Razor, RIG, and Doc - You are the lowest demographic of votes. You know what that makes you in the political world? Wrong.

"Others" - You seem to think that you know someone who is DUMBER than the people being polled now. You know what that sound is? It's your penis, says he's glad he finally has company.

Those of you who changed your vote have a distinct charecteristic: Flip-flopping. And you know what flip-flops? Pancakes. That's right, you're all pancakes.
