Especially considering the fact that they're largely unoffensive as a race and are content to cultivate Mulgore (and to some extent the Barrens) rather than expand their influence. Hell, you even see some Night Elf (or some kind of elf) npcs operating in tandem to cleanse the Barrens of some of its problems (Wailing Caverns? The oases?).

Actually on that world tree thing that was the design of one group, and is highly frowned apon by many. In fact the very first quest you get is to try and help fix the mistake that was made by planting it. Even then it was only done in ignorance and a desire for something lost, not because it hurt someone else, or because they wanted to push thier influence, it was for thier own races personal reasons. The ones who did it, did it anyway, much as the faction of High elves before them did, and wrought the consequences. Most of that gets explained before you break level 20.
As for the Humans who broke the treaty, they were humans that were cut off from the rest of the humans and were unaware of what had taken place, not even aware of it, they reacted off of old information and what they new of events before not knowing anything that had traspired in between.
And on the server thing, already went over that. 
That was the point I was making that it wasn't Alliance or Horde it was perspective, and that different servers and such yield different situations.

Yah. And as a NE player you spend a great deal of time uncovering it, even so much as to counter several plots.
A lot of your quests are along the lines of learning what arrogance and greed brought, and how to stop it from happening again.
Some of the Auberdine quests have you uncovering old history around the Aran ruins and such, as well as researching the corruption, and learning what the Naga resurgeance and such are doing. You also spend a lot of time helping the Ancients cure the balance caused by the making of the new Tree.

Information you had at the...wait what? 3 or 4 different posts explaining the Undead and their campaign to destroy all life weren't enough? You continued arguing even then! As for the offering the real world example, it had nothing to do with drama or lighterheartedness, it was simply an analogy made in an extreme way to point out the ridiculousness of what you were saying. Even without the knowledge of lore, you should've been able to see the points I made, namely that persecution does not justify genocide and being war-like does not necessarily make a group evil.
