What's the Warlock's main purpose in a group? Damage dealer?
How does Warlock DPS stack compared to other classes?
Is there a limit to your Soul Shards? Do the HP/Mana shards stack?
Do pets level up with you? How do you upgrade them?
Is it hard to grab soul shards in a group?

The warlocks main purpose is damage(double Dot), as well as being a crowd control person with the fear spell. Chaining the 40 damage spell is cool too. Pets help pull, suicide an IMP into a caster and its good.
Warlord DPS is good. Each class seems balance in terms of the speed of the kill, warlord can take monsters of higher levels than the other classes are capable of. Double Dot + Imp + Fear Spell = good times.
I havent reacher a limit on soul shards, they dont stack. The health and mana potions you make with the conversion spells are unique items and can only have 1 in inventory at a time, you can give them to your allies.
Pets can get new abilities from demon trainers, you have a pet summoned and go to a trainer, you can then buy abilities for money the same way you buy new spells.
Its easier to grab soul shards in a group, since its a channel spell you cant get hit. Just wait till the monster is low and activate the spell, for the next fifteen secondsa blue or purple ray will hit the target and do a small amount of damage, but still enouph to take a millimeter or 2 off damage.

Oh yeah, most people say that 6 soul shards is a good number to have on at a time(this equals one small bag, which people toss out all the time to people because they make so many for tailoring.)
They also say to put alot of extra's in a bank, so that later on when it takes a shard to summon the voidwalker you dont have to fear dot some level 1 wolf to get started.

Scattered handful floating around, with an even smaller number of actual high elves to be found if one looks hard enough.
Potential Expansion race I would imagine
I get the feeling the Felhound will be a debuffer of sorts, mana burn and other stat/haste/whatever debuffs to throw around to cripple enemies in group situations.
I wonder what the difference between a Voidwalker and an Infernal are going to be, both appear to have the same basic job of big beefy meat shield, but will have to have some defining characteristics to set them apart [ 03-24-2004: Message edited by: Vorago ]
Id think both should get it, since its only a soul shard.
They are important enouph to fight over though.

They've said the Infernal will be used as a siege weapon in PvP, but I have no clue what that means.

That'd be cool. I like the whole story on the Blood Elves, their addiction, etc.
Anyone seen any goblins yet? I saw the one pic of what looked to be one of those big ass tree-shredder goblin machines. But are they common critters?

Well, from their current PvP model, assuming it is the same, it makes sense... but at the same time, it also can't replace the voidwalker as a meat shield without just becoming 'the' pet to use, which is bad.
I'm sure Blizz will make 'em both good options
Hard to top a giant walking contruct of hellfire and stone though, hehe

They are neutral, scattered all over the place. They run a lot of the travel, and also share space with the gnomes in the salt flats where they build machines to race against the gnomes... very Mad Max'ish
They tend to float between neutral and evil, one of the instanced dungeons has a goblin as it's boss, who unleashes robotic creations against you. From what I've seen and read, they appear to be pretty common, pretty much visiting everyone and just doing their own thing.
Felbeasts seemed like a hybrid type. They did manaburn, but they were beefy, too.
Thenagain, the pets and NPCs might be very different.

So basically like the goblins in the RPG. Sweet.

Oh. Anyone remember that Blood Elf spell that made the ground crack and explode? That's in WoW. Looks awesome.
And the Son of Cenarius. Can you smell the plots?

quote:
The Demigod Cenarius was discovered in the ageless past by the Kaldorei (Night Elves) as they emerged into the world. Cenarius found the Night Elves to be to his liking and taught them how to empathize with the natural world, spending a lot of his time with them.Cenarius was recruited by the Archdruid Furion Stormrage in the time of the War of the Ancients to fight on the side of the Night Elves against their high-borne cousins and the demons of the Burning Legion. It was his persuasion that brought in the powers of the Dragon Aspects to the Night Elves side. In a titanic battle that shook the earth, devastated some of the dragon flights, and would eventually cause the sinking of a continent, Cenarius led the vanguard of tree-men and dragons to the heart of the Well of Eternity.
Illidan's betrayal of the sacrifices during the War of the Ancients led Furion to action. Resignedly, Furion sought the aid of Cenarius again. This time to seal his brother beneath the earth so that he might pay for his crimes. With Cenarius's help, Furion sealed Illidan beneath the earth where he remained until the Third Great War.
After Illidan was contained, Cenarius began his teaching to Furion and the Night Elves the way of the druid.
When the druid orders began to stabilize among the Night Elves, Cenarius again retreated to the peaceful groves of the Moonglades of Mt. Hyjal. His sons, the Keepers of the Grove and his daughters, the Dyrads worked with the remaining Night Elf Sentinels to keep the peace within Ashenvale Forest.
At the advent of the Third Great War, the fleeing Orc clans came to Ashenvale Wood in an attempt to communicate with the Oracle. The Warsong clan, being punished for its leader's transgressions was sent on a wood gathering mission in Ashenvale. Enraged at the Orc's destruction of their lands, the Night Elves called out to Cenarius once more, and again he answered that call. Working with the Night Elves and his sons and daughters, they fell upon the Warsong clan, driving them to a last base deep within the woods.
With the Warsong clan hard pressed to survive, Mannaroth sensed a weakness that he could exploit against his ancient enemy from the War of the Ancients. By spilling his blood into a fountain and corrupting it, he enticed the mighty Grom Hellscream to again sample the cursed demon bloodlust. Unaware this foes had gathered the demonic strength necessary to defeat him, Cenarius was caught unawares. His battle with Grom Hellscream would prove to be his last. He died, working to ensure the natural balance of the ashenvale forest; he died defending his home.
