Also, are there different attack animations for each?

Vorago's milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
Bajah, I request rogue screenshots showing a chain of attacks ending with a finisher, is there a nice graphical display for the orbs/dots/whatever that you build up with your openers to unleash with the finisher?
quote:Different races have different animations for different attacks. Some different moves use the same animations, but most are different. There's nifty graphics that show in the air that everyone can see, too. I've really never had a good look at them, but they're akin to slash marks or something. I play a warrior so I can't really have 100% accuracy on these claims

When rogues use their special moves and build up whatever to make their finishers super powered. Don't little dots fill up or something?
quote:Oh. Having never played a rogue myself, I've only noticed a yellow bar that runs parrallel to Rogue's health bars that fills up/decreases as they use their moves. (Yes, it can be seen by everybody. It's right where caster's mana bars would be, or Warrior's rage bars.)
Darius!, I am your father:

Rogues might see something different, though I doubt it.
quote:There is nothing of that sort in this game. Just a bar.
But Alaan doesn't really care for music, do you?
Did you ever play/see someone play a Assassin in D2x? When they use their charge up skills little colored orbs float around the character.

Black wrote this then went back to looking for porn:

In D2x it was the mob you were fighting that got the "charges". It seems that in WoW, rogues charge themselves.

Zephyer Kyuukaze painfully thought these words up:

sigh. In D2x, you used combo moves that "charged" a creature for a finishing blow. The more charges, the more damage the finishing blow did.
In WoW, it seems, doing combo moves charges a bar (like mana or rage bars) that can be used for finishing moves. Since the combo moves are on a timer (I would assume), you can't just tigerkick over and over, or whatever.

No. D2 Assassins charge themselves.
quote:Nothing.
Why, Mr. Darius!son? Why do you do it? Why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Yes? No? Could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Darius!son. Vagaries of perception. The temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as Evercrest itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Darius!son. You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr. Darius!son? Why? Why do you persist?
What're the differnece between the races? I heard Blizz is considering removing the racial advantages, but if they do, what difference will your race make?
Considering removing the racial advantages? Heh, they're already deactivated. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't make it for release. And if they don't, the only difference in race will be the way you look. (Which is enough for me personally.)
According to the ability info up on wow.warcrafy, they referred to 'em as dots. Charges work too I suppose, but that is what I am going by until Blizz gets around to updating worldofwarcraft.net

That's a little disappointing. I was looking forward to the races being a little different from each other.
This doesn't mean Tauren don't get plains running anymore, does it? And also, did you know what the racial advantages were for the Orcs, Trolls, Gnomes, Night Elves, and Tauren?

Tauren will still have plainsrunning, simply because they couldn't have a mount, and all the races need mount-capable speeds somehow.
Night elves had Shadowmeld and Nature magic resistance, I know that much off the top of my head

Nature magic resistance. Fat lot of good that would do.
"ARGH! The warlock's immolation SEARS MY FLESH! ACK! The mage's frost ray CHILLS MY BONES! OH NO! The voidwalker's shadow magic TAINTS MY SOUL! But I can hardly the feel the chipmunk throwing acorns at me."

Well, they need something to compensate for their only effective form of offense being "Prance merrily around the invader and sing a cheerful song"

How.... Vorago.... uughhhhhh:

True. It's a shame they can't all be a part of the Horde.

I suppose it's for the best, would be hard to effectively plunder and pillage a town when the NE behind you is commenting on the delightful floral arrangement that house over there is using. It just sort of kills the buzz.

No doubt. They'd have their uses as ammo when we ran out of boulders for the catapults, though. Or as mounts!
I'd rather ride a Night Elf broad, anyways.

Mr. Parcelan wrote, obviously thinking too hard:

True, that is an excellent point. I suppose once we crush their puny Alliance, we will have to keep some of them alive for that purpose.
quote:
A sleep deprived Darius! stammered:
hay orc guys hows your dark portal doing?
Hay Alliance guys, how's that whole "We're not gonna suck anymore!" resolution going? Last I heard, you still had more suction power than a Vietnamese girl begging for food.

You do that after you finish plundering the town.
It's not something people hear about.

Good, good. Us humans have been quite suck-free for a while. Those elves just won't give up their old ways though.
So. Any orcs damn their race by making deals with demons, lately? Just, you know, because you guys seem to like doing that.

Eh. A few. Our undead buddies seem to be keeping it up pretty good, too.
But we're even better at that than you. Our guys only have to offer their souls (not a big deal in the way for the undead), but I hear that for a gnome warlock to summon a creature, he has to sacrifice twice the amount of soul shards and do a little cheerleader dance.

Pros:
Everything but the cons.
Cons:
Mobs that knockdown/stun.
The few bugs.
People who gank treasure chests from camps that you cleared.
As for pros and cons, I haven't really played it enough or gotten high enough level to do much other than explore and level grind, but I'll give you a basic one from my simple experiences.
Pros
Cons
This game is great.
