Raping Delphi isn't something you can forget! Mostly because he calls you a fucking lagger when you're on a DSL line, and how gay everything is!

Acutally, last night there WAS a lot of lag. It was sporadic, and not horribly crippling, but it did strike from time to time.
I didn't know that it was Terena's FIRST time playing, or I would have gone a lot easier on her.
Sorry.

Oh, yeah, taking uniforms shows you as the person you stole, so, if you kill someone named Batty, don't sneak up to Batty and expect him to be fooled.

I killed Rosa once, after she stole my uniform, and she's like "Delphi.. how?"
"No name."
And there was the fact that I was looking at ME.. Heh.

That's the highest I've ever gotten exp wise and title wise(maxed out all three bars as a Field Op and got Highest Fragger, Most Decorated, Best Field Op, Highest Light Weapons, Highest Battle Sense, and I think there was one more I'm forgetting). That was a game I will not soon forget
Indeed, and I got all 3 maxed as well, but I only got best medic and best accuracy.
And to top it all off, I got major and max medic in the last second of the game. I had thrown that final medpack at Jargum which put me one point over the threshold for uberdom. [ 06-22-2003: Message edited by: Tegadil ]
I like holding alt and boggling at my scores though.

It's a fine title. However, all the other ones are better. I'd rather have someone that can do their job and help their team really well over someone that thinks we're playing Unreal Tournament.

I've gotten highest fragger lots of times. But still did a lot for the team..
(Didn't help that I swept the rest of the awards, too. Like best soldier as an engy..)
If you joined up in the middle, you'd be screwed. 3 is just about right to get your skills up to max, use them for a bit, then get back down to empty to level the playing field again.

It's the same if you join in the 2nd/last round of a campaign anyway.

WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT
All classes :Knife : Standard stuff. Knives are the fallback melee weapon. Decent damage, ~40 per hit. Fast refire rate. no ammo. You get the idea.
Pistol : The standard fall-back weapon for all classes. The allies get a Colt .45, the Axis get A Luger 9mm. Medium-low power with a decent refire rate.
Grenade : Grenades are standard. 4 second timer, when you press the button it starts the timer. Hold it to time your explosions. Don't hold for four seconds.
Soldier :
Thompson/MP40 : The Thompson/MP40 is best used when working up your light arms skill. The soldier receives no heavy weapon EXP when using it.
Mobile MG42 : This weapon has a high rate of fire and a very low accuracy. Its accuracy can be DRASTICALLY improved by using a tripod : Go prone and hit alt-fire to increase accuracy.
Flamethrower : This short-range weapon deals heavy damage. Anyone who stays within the stream of napalm takes massive and almost always lethal damage. Anyone who is caught at all takes burn damage for 5 damage over several seconds.
Panzerfaust : This mobile rocket launcher has a wide splash and high damage. While it's mainly used for destroying emplaced weapons and vehicles, it can also deal exceptional damage against infantry. The downside is that you can only carry 4 at a time, it severely slows your movement while it's out (Switch to your pistol or knife for running long distances!), and it uses up your full power bar at level 1, and 2/3rds of the bar at higher levels.
Mortar : The Mortar is used as a long-range bombardment tool. Ready it with alt-fire, then aim and fire shells. Adjust the hight to change how far your shots go. Also, anytime a field op calls in an artillery strike, a reticle will appear to help you guide your own mortar shots there, to assist in the bombardment. Each shot fired with the mortar will use up power, so you can't fire an entire barrage at once.
Medic :
Thompson/MP40 : The only weapon available to the medic is the Thompson SMG (Or MP40 if you are Axis). Killing with it grants skill in light weapons.
Medpack : This allows a medic to drop health packs that heal 20 health each. Dropping a medpack takes up 25% of your power bar at levels 0 and 1, and 15% at level 2, 3, and 4.
Syringe : This allows a medic to revive a fallen player. Standing over a player and using this grants brings that player back, if they haven't tapped out or been damaged after death. For medics below level 3, this grants 50% HP as well. For medics level 3 and 4, this grants full HP.
Adrenaline Syrings : Hitting the 5 key once brings up the syringe. If you are level 4 and hit 5 again, it brings up the adrenaline syringe. This can only be used on yourself. Using this grants a temporary bonus in health and stamina. For 10 seconds you take 1/2 damage from all attacks, and you can sprint and jump without using up any stamina.
Engineer :
Thompson/MP40 : For close combat the engineer can use the SMG like most other classes.
M1S Garand/K43 : The second weapon available to the engineer is a variant of the sniper rifle. This variant has no scope, however it has two fire modes. In primary fire mode it shoots out rifle ammunition like normal, and any kills increase light weapons skill. In secondary mode, it fires rifle grenades which have a short timer and explode on contact, turning it into a grenade launcher. Any kills with grenades grant you engineering skill, as well as using up grenade ammo and some of your power bar.
Pliers : The pliers are versatile as hell. They can be used to fix any damaged friendly structures (Guns, vehicles, or command posts), can be used to construct any neutral or friendly structure (Machine gun posts, barriers, pumps, etc.), can be used to arm dynamite and land mines, and can be used to DISARM dynamite and landmines. Using it lowers the power bar RAPIDLY.
Dynamite : Used to blow up fortified structures or emplacements. Drop it, then use the pliers to arm it. Be sure to guard your dynamite, as it can be disarmed by enemy engineers.
Mines : Engineers can drop mines on any soil (Or snow), but cannot drop them indoors or on concrete or wood. Drop them, then arm them with the pliers. They show up as flags with the letter 'M' on them. Don't step on them unless friendly fire is off and you have good reason. If you step on enemy mines, DO NOT MOVE, instead use pliers to disarm them.
Field Ops :
Thompson/MP40 : Like the medic, the field ops can only use this SMG.
Airstrike marker : This grenade, when used, calls in an airstrike to the target location. It takes a bit to spot the marker, so allow around 5 seconds before the strike commences. This uses up a full power bar at level 0 and 1, and 2/3rds of your bar at level 2+.
Ammo box : These drop ammo for yourself and friendly units. At level 0, it uses 1/4 of your power bar and refills one magazine. At level 1, it is reduced to 15% of the bar instead of 25%, and grants 2 magazines per, instead of one.
Artillery bombard : Field Ops gain use of the Binoculars without needing battle sense. When using the binoculars, field ops can call in an artillery to bombard a wide area. This can be good for scaring or killing snipers or enemies who are emplaced. Like the airstrikes, this uses up a full power bar at level 0 and 1, and 2/3rds at level 2+.
Covert Ops :
Sten SMG : This silenced SMG is very quiet, and fires very accurately without a scope. It does overheat easily, however, making it impossible to use for sustained fire. It does NOT grant Covert Ops EXP!
FG42 : This rifle has two modes of use, a full-automatic fire mode, and a scoped semi-automatic fire mode. Scoped mode is much more accurate, but does no more damage. You only get Covert Ops EXP if you kill someone in scoped mode. Due to the lessened power per shot, this weapon has a much lower recoil in scoped mode than the Garand/K43. This weapon is silenced.
Garand/K43 : The Covert Ops version of this weapon is silenced and has a scope. Alt-fire equips the scope. Killing someone while in scoped mode grants Covert Ops EXP, while killing someone while unscoped gives Light Weapons (Same with the FG42). When scoped, a bar on the left shows how accurate your shot will be; red is inaccurate, yellow is very accurate, green is dead accurate. It also controls how much you'll waver while scoped.
Smoke Grenades : The Covert Ops can throw a grenade which causes a thick grey cloud of smoke to appear to conceal movement and provide cover. One of the best uses for this is to provide cover against emplaced guns.
Satchel Charges : Many of the weaker objects in the world can be blown up with satchel charges. Examples are the command posts, MG nests, and certain obejctives (Such as the seawall generator, the beach ramp on seawall, the base fortifications in fuel depot, etc.). It can also be used to set traps for unwary enemies to walk over. It is limited by range; if the light is not green, it cannot be blown. Satchel charges CAN be defused with an engineer's pliers.
Disguise : A totally-dead enemy (NOT one who is waiting for a medic) can be looted by a Covert Ops to take a disguise. Smoke grenades and satchel charges will never remove your disguise. If you are not in an enemy's line of sight, silenced weapons, grenades, and the knife can be used without removing the disguise. While disguised, you can open any locked door that only the enemy can open.
IMPORTANT : Disguised enemy Covert Ops at longer ranges will display the name and rank information of the player whose uniform they've stolen but at close range, disguised enemy Covert Ops will not display ANY name or rank information.
Binoculars : I make special note of the Covert Ops binoculars because he has a very unique ability to detect mines. Equip the binoculars and scan the area. As you scan, you'll see enemy Land Mine indicators. Holding the Binocular crosshairs over it will flag it and broadcast a message to the whole team with the mine's location, as well as mark it on the Command Map. Detected mines can be destroyed with other explosives (Grenades, Rifle Grenades, Dynamite etc).
SKILLS :
Light Weapons : You gain Light weapons EXP for kills with small arms and unscoped rifles. Players earn 3 XP per kill with a grenade, a Legshot, an Armshot or a Bodyshot and 5 XP per kill with a Headshot.
Level 1 : When you respawn, your ammo load-out will include one extra clip of ammunition.
Level 2 : You will reload your weapons 35% faster.
Level 3 : SMG spread is reduced by 35% while Pistol recoil is halved.
Level 4 : Instead of a pistol, you get dual akimbo pistols.
Battle Sense : This one is tricky, so I'm quoting the manual directly. Players gain ZERO points for each 30 seconds survived while 'Cold' i.e. not actively engaged in combat. You'll earn 2XP per 30 seconds while 'Warm' (you inflicted damage), 5XP per 30 seconds while 'Hot' (dealing AND receiving damage) and 8XP if 'Super-Hot' (killing and receiving damage).
Level 1 : You gain the use of Binoculars.
Level 2 : Your stamina bar charges at 160% the normal rate.
Level 3 : Max health increases by 15 points.
Level 4 : You can see enemy land mines at a small range no matter what class you are.
Heavy Weapons : Players of any class will earn 3XP for a kill using an Emplaced or Mounted MG. Soldiers earn 3XP for kills with the Mobile MG42, Panzerfaust, Flamethrower or Mortar.
Level 1 : Firing a Panzerfaust or Mortar takes 1/3rd less Power Bar.
Level 2 : Emplaced or mobile machine gunes cool down twice as fast.
Level 3 : Speed penalty for using heavy weapons is decreased.
Level 4 : You can use a SMG for your one-handed weapon instead of a pistol.
First Aid : Medics earn 1XP each time they heal someone with a Health Pack and 4XP every time they revive another player with their Syringe.
Level 1 : You get an extra ammo clip.
Level 2 : You get 2 extra syringes and medpacks take 15% your bar instead of 25%.
Level 3 : Teammates revived gain full health instead of 50% health.
Level 4 : You gain the use of the self-adrenaline (Health and stamina boost, 10 seconds of 1/2 damage and stamina is not used up).
Engineering : Engineers earn 3 XP for repairing a vehicle or MG. They also earn XP for constructing or destroying constructible objectives: 5XP for a 50% of Power Bar objective such as repairing an MG nest, 7.5 for a 100% Power Bar objective like repairing a tank and up to 10XP for destroying an Objective. Engineers also earn 3XP for a Rifle Grenade kill, 4XP for a Land Mine or Dynamite kill, 4XP for defusing an enemy Land Mine and 6 points for defusing enemy Dynamite.
Level 1 : 4 extra grenades.
Level 2 : Arming/disarming mines and dynamite takes half the time.
Level 3 : Constructing/repairing/mines/dynamite takes 1/3 less power bar.
Level 4 : Granted Flak Jacket (50% damage deflection from explosive weapons).
Signals (Field Ops) : Field Ops earn 1XP for giving one of your team's players an Ammo Pack. You'll earn 3XP for every enemy player you kill with an Air Strike, 4XP for killing them with an Artillery Strike and 5XP for destroying an Objective with either.
Level 1 : Ammo packs contain 2 magazines instead of 1, and use 15% of the power bar instead of 25%.
Level 2 : Artillery and airstrikes use 2/3rds the power bar instead of a full bar.
Level 3 : Airstrikes have two passes (There are two bombing runs instead of one) and artillery bombardments last twice as long.
Level 4 : When you look at a disguised enemy it tells you (Says 'disguised enemy' below your reticle).
Covert Ops : ANY player earns 5XP for kills with a headshot, 3XP for kills with a bodyshot, armshot or legshot WHILE THE WEAPON IS SCOPED. A Covert Ops will earn 3XP for each Land Mine spotted and 5XP for disguising themselves using an enemy uniform. You'll earn 5XP for every kill with a Satchel Charge and 7XP every time you use a Satchel Charge to destroy an Objective.
Level 1 : Ammo packs provide 1 extra clip of scoped weapon ammo.
Level 2 : Smoke grenades and satchel charges use 33% less of the power bar.
Level 3 : 50% reduction in the sway and the recoil when scoped.
Level 4 : Any backstab with the knife is an instant kill (Without Level 4 backstab does ~80 damage). [ 06-23-2003: Message edited by: Khyron ]
