I wonder if it's as easy to use as Q3 Radiant. I made a couple pretty decent maps with Q3 Radiant.

Even if it is as easy to use, though, I don't have the time to actually do any sort of mapping; not without either quitting my job or finding some way of persuading them to let me map on my laptop at work...

Yes you are right.

Yeah I had noticed some after I had posted that, though they would still have to be put on the server list by Drysart if we wanted to use them. However I had been referring more to maybe some made by people here if they are talented at that, me personally, I get dizzy trying to figure out the map editor.

I've used Gtk Radiant (The ET editor) a few times in the past - mapping for a modification called 'Weapons Factory' for Quake 3. None of my maps were good enough to get included in the 'official' map pack, but a few servers ran my custom maps all the same

All I really need is time.

Well, okay, all I really need is time and a FUCKTON of help with the scripting.

Making the map itself is fine; no problems there at all. I've got a nice little WW2-era busted up city. Problems come from when I try to mess with the scripting that controls buildables and destroyable items in the game.

Anyone here good at this?

Considering the fact that it was just released, I highly doubt it

Well, Scripting is less like mapping and more like coding. I bet Drysart would be good at it.

I have figured something out in my travels through the ET console!

Typing in commands like "quit" and such simply "say" them to everyone else. However, if you put a / in front of it, you can do helpful things.

Click Play online, then hit Tilde to bring down the console. Type /password fluffy then /connect evercrest.com

Viola, now you don't have to bother with the mouse to click the "Connect" button on the IP entry or password entry field!

Or use the All Seeing Eye and never have to type anything.

Wah wah. I'm not paying 30 bucks for a few keystrokes. Especially when I don't play enough serverbased games like ET to warrent such a purchase.
