i don't see why love can't.some compassion, a little dependancy, a bit of friendship, and some infatuation, and you get one love. right?
There's no specific amount of any of these that can be measured in love, though.
Love is something people tell themselves they have so they can go on living with someone else and feel good about it. Love is a myth that exists created to keep two people together so they hopefully look after their offspring.
Maybe they're right. Butyou still need a job. And some skillz.

People like Waisz are ever bitter. If this was from a broken heart at a young age, or just an overanalytical mind, I dont know, but it is kind of sad that he passes it off as nothing.
Your life changes dramatically if/when you fall in love. Nothing.. and I mean NOTHING looks the same.
If you bite into it, it might be filled with chocolate.
Or evil.
EVIL!
But sex is like pasta alfredo, covered in creamy goodness.

It's merely my viewpoint on the matter. No need to get huffy about it.
Unless you realize that you're wrong, in which case you can start getting defensive.
I await the day you fall over your ass in love and realize I was right though.

Pfft. I can ensure it'll never happen by maintaining my entirely bitter position on the matter.
Seriously, though, why would I ever experience something that doesn't exist?

We were all impressed when »Waisztarroz« wrote:
Every person seems to have their own view on what love is. It cannot be defined truly.I'm not sure how to put it into words, but every case where one person claims they love another can be broken down into infactuation, compassion, and interdependence. Love is an incorrect term to use in any case since it has no definition and no "basis".
Sometimes I have such a hard time expressing my thoughts.
Of course the same can be said for any other emotion. In fact, You can break them all down to electrochemical signals and hormone balances in the brain. However that does not mean they do not exist.
I have never felt True Love. (Hell, I've not felt all that much of regular love, either.)
Why, then, do I believe in it?
Because somewhere, deep inside me, there is an empty place. A place so empty that it hurts when I think about it. (So I tend not to.) I can tell you what goes there, to fill that emptyness. True Love.
That having been said, I don't expect to ever find True Love. I expect to die first, alone and bitter. But that doesn't change the fact that I know it's real, because I can feel the lack of it.

Just a helpful tip:
If you ARE going as far as to have sex, and you are a minor, (and this is going to sound crazy) but let your parents know you are going to. Chances are, they'll be easier to deal with if they know beforehand than if you are caught on the living room couch. (I had a friend who had that happen to her) And, they might be willing to talk to you about contraceptives and whatnot.
Good advice.. thats what I did, well after my first time.. I went to my mother and talked to her about it and she went out and got me all the "stuff" (as in protection) that I would need
My first time was when I was young.. I dont regret it really... there are times when I do but in the end my first time was avg like alot of ppl... not super great but hey cant truely complain.. and no there was no real 'love' involved at the time.. [ 09-30-2002: Message edited by: BlueMage ]
I am totally in love with Nikki, and vice-versa. And anyone who is my friend here knows that, so yeah, totally, love at 16 (I'll be 17 soon, as will she) is totally true in my opinion.
And for my opinion on sex at said age, I reiterate my comment about people here being my friends

The difference is, love is built up as the emotion to end all emotions. Ask someone what anger is, and they can say "anger is breaking things and wanting to hurt people."
Ask someone what love is, though, and they start oozing poetic descriptions which sound nice but are almost invariably fluff.
The same thing happens, to a lesser degree, with emotions like joy and sorrow. Part of this, I think, is because they are more personalized while something like anger is more universal or even instinctive.

I have to completely disagree there, Wais. Deth and I have no offspring that keeps us together. And I don't need to call my feelings love just to explain why I'm with him. We were best friends before we even got together, and I was happy he was in my life, and love wasn't even in the picture yet.

In the manner of the instinctive part, that's because that's what it is. All emotions are instinctive. Human beings are animals, it's as simple as that. Anyway, Love isn't the only one there. There's it's equal but opposite Hate, for a prime example. The various emotions can't really be described, either. Your description of anger, is quite lacking too, despite being a reasonable description considering. But one knows them when one feels them. And Waisz, I can guarantee you that love does indeed exist. You bitter, bitter man. [ 10-01-2002: Message edited by: Dr. Pvednes, PhD ]

I know, it's crazy. I keep telling people that a little thing lives on my shoulder that tells me everyone should bow to me, but when they ask if they can see it, I tell them they can't.
Duh, if you could see it, I'd be the one bowing to you. [ 10-01-2002: Message edited by: »Waisztarroz« ]

Proof is in the act, Waisz. If you never experience it, then you, personally, have no proof. Those who have, do. Simple as that.
