A couple of days ago on the Colbert Report they had one of the head writers for this series as a guest. He was promoting his series and it sounded good so I found all of it that is out so far. It's a really good series and worth the read.

The premise is that a group of wannabe superheros from a reality show called "The New Warriors" went in to try and take out a group of villians. One of the villians was Nitro who's power is to basically explode. Nitro took out 600 people including a group of 60 children. The Government is now going to pass a bill that forces anyone with powers to register their identity to the Government. This splits the Mutant community right down the middle. Now the mutant community half who register are hunting down the ones who do not.

Each zip contains a group of cbz files. Read all the Spiderman comics first from part 1. I don't know if you can manipulate rapidshare by downloading all of them simultaniously but give it a try. To read these files it is highly suggested you go and download CDisplay else you have to rename all of the cbz fiels to rar and read the HUGE jpgs.
Civil War part 1 of 4
Civil War part 2 of 4
Civil War part 3 of 4
Civil War part 4 of 4

edit: There are still 47 more comics of this series to come out. The series is over in late November.

You can't download multiple files at the same time on rapidshare and you have the waiting time. If you want to get rid of the wait, you have to renew your IP address. Oxyshare is a bit better for multiple files like this; no wait, multiple files at once, and a reasonable speed.

I'm guessing you don't have a complete July either?

Joe Quesada is also not the head writer. He's the editor in chief of Marvel Comics.

Mark Millar is the head writer of Civil War.

The (New?) Avengers probably has the worst art. The Spider-Man and Civil War art are fairly good though.

Actually, I'm generally quite pleased with a lot of the art in the Marvel books these days. Like everything else, it swishes back and forth with DC. DC will have great writing and art with cool stories...then Marvel will. Right now the ball is definitely in Marvel's court.

Civil War, thus far, is badass. Cap has gone renegade (and formed a renegade Avengers team that includes some interesting people) in protest of the bill, Stark has been forced to take down several renegade heroes (and enter into an alliance with the Thunderbolts to bring down super-criminals and make them work for the good guys), Spidey has given up his secret identity...all very good stuff, and that's only the bare bones. The specifics are much juicier. Like "Codename: Lightning" who hasn't been seen since his own personal apocalypse.

It's everything I could hope for and more. All DC's "52" has to offer is the possibility that the Superboy I like will return from the grave.

Too bad Cap is undermanned and underpowered right now unless someone defects or a neutral party decides to step in.

It seems most likely that Namor is going to step in and start something major, or there's going to be a lot of defecting. Namely Spider-Man.

Yeah Spider-Man will most likely defect to Cap's side. Also, the only way I can see Cap's resistance putting up a fight against Codename Lightning is if the Sentry joins them.

Namor was the both the first character introduced as a mutant, and the chronically first mutant until Apocalypse.

Apocalypse is disqualified from all this because he is a gigantic sopping pussy. He's a jobber, but he doesn't even job to the stars. He jobs to Black Bolt (acceptable), Nate Gray, Cable, and fucking Onslaught.

Namor stands supreme. And he's about to bang Sue Storm like a screen door.

Yay Wikipedia. As far as likely candidates beyond those who have taken up the hammer, that's pretty debatable.

Namor is a lot more hardcore than most people credit him for. He's serious bad mojo if riled, he's very intelligent, amazingly cunning, and could probably go toe to toe with the Hulk for a while (mainly by out-thinking ol' purple-pants).

The most noteworthy person who could lift Thor's hammer was Cap. Also most significant to Civil War, since Thor's being deployed against Cap's side. Don't be terribly surprised if Thor jumps sides.

I think Stark's going to lose, and Peter's going to take it in the ass in the fallout.
