the new video drivers for the GeForce 8 series from Nvidia's website will only allow me to go up to 1024x768 max resolution. when I know that it can go to 1280x1024. I'm going to go back to the factor...

I checked Gigabyte's website for what they said were the up to date drivers, and I seem golden. Looks like nVidia's wont work with the card, which makes me kind of uneasy.
