it makes some sense, but why not have a 'reduced' version that they can order online and instantly activate their account with? Trim it to 35 for the media and key? Or give a kickback to the person who gave them the trial key in the form of a free month?
I understand why they want you to buy the software but there have been people out there offended that there wasn't some kind of benefit of using the 10day pass. Most people who want to try the game and know someone who plays will play on that person's account for a couple of hours to decide if the wanna shell out the $50.

Have you seen the price Blizzard charges for Broodwars? By now Starscraft with Broodwars should be like 10 buck bundled togather. Maybe they might offer a cheaper version of the basic client once they have like 2-3 Expansions out.

No. They would make some new players happy. Everyone that has bought the game from a store would not be happy, because they couldn't get the $35 direct from Bliz version. People that don't have a friend with a trial key would not be happy. I reiterate. Why should people that used a free trial get a better deal than those that didn't? I think the problem ist more that if for every trial key one person downloaded the 2 gig client their bandwidth costs would skyrocket with a game as popular as WoW.

Both my brother and our old EQ guild, The Grubs, are on Durotar Horde side. I went to Durotar because apparently, the guild needed warriors; they had plenty, but none of them ever really played. So, I go to Durotar and level up to 28, get some awesome shit, and my bro asks... and they don't need any new members after all. Sux
I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do at this point. I want to get on Dark Iron/Alliance, but I don't have a whole lot of time to play at the moment. I have two research papers, due November 1 and 17, for the same damn class. However, once I get those out of the way, I'll have plenty of time. I could also get back on my ZJ/Horde warrior, who's level... 37? right now. He needs some better equipment, but some dungeon runs can fix that.

That's okay, because in the same time of killing Onyxia, we've seen TWO Vis'kag and three brutality blades. Total. (Brutality is from Garr, but yeah).
Funny note: The second Vis'kag went to our MT warrior. She holds aggro like a motherFUCKER.

Right now I'd be happy with an Assassination or Krol or Sacred Charge. Thrash in main is getting old. But fuck if it doesn't do the job
