Better than The Spirits Within. That's all I have to stay.

Really though, it seems Square is trying to learn from their prior mistake. Everything looked great (though Cloud looks a bit like a bishounen, and Square doesn't understand the need for blemishes), and the fight scenes were very well done. The story was ok, though you won't get it if you don't remember the story well from FF7 and even if you do you'll still get lost on some scenes. That's about all I have to say without spoiling things. *nods*

Oh, and why couldn't they just leave Aeris alone. She's dead dammit! Let the poor girl rest in peace.

Edit: Thank you preview text for picking the one spoiler I have in the post to appear. Can't change that now though. Sorry sorry.

I thought the US releases were both going to be subbed. Gains can probably correct me. Also, what they say really doesn't matter. I'd have to rewatch it, but it felt like there's more action scenes than scenes were actual talking takes place... and all the talking is kind of pointless.

Just finished watching this. I thought it was an awesome movie but some say my tastes are a bit outside of "normal". Square has come a long way from Spirits Within. But to describe the fights I'll have to go with that my roommate said: "They made a CG version of Dragonball Z?"

I've beat 4 and played through a good portion of 6. Granted, I want to play more of 6 because it has a cool plot and characters, but I just prefer FF7 more than them.

Oh and 2 is my second favorite out of the ones I've played (All but 3, 5 and X2).

Edit - Oh yeah, AC...I want it really badly. I'll probably wait for the English release though because my money is preoccupied with other things at the moment. I wanna blow 300 simoleans on the Ultimate Edition though.

You know what I'm talking about. I've singled it out as him, just by his clothing, tone, what characters reference him as in Trailers, and the fact that Rude is standing next to him in one scene during Trailer 3.

X2 is just a dressup simulator with occasional fights.

Accurate. I liked the moive. Had nothing to do with FF in any way/shape/form beyond name.

And X2 just isn't all that great. when you can find one set of costumes that you can complete the bulk of the game wearing and have all characters come out of almost every fight at full HP/MP... something's wrong with your design. Plus I do not play a FF game to trade clothes.

That's kinda funny... because the primary reasons I played FF1, 3, and 5 were to make my characters look spiffier through job changes.

You can't really compare the Job Changes in 1, 2 or (the one in) 4 with the Job Changes in 3, 5 and X2. One is just an 'upgrade', the other is complete character change.

Well, 1 is more job selection. Making my party (look) spiffier through different combinations.

Wasn't comparing 2 or 4 at all.

1 is just going for a Balanced party or going for a challenge (Min/Maxing the party in 1 makes it a Balanced party).

I still want to see someone beat 1 with 4xWM without cheating.
