I'm one of the freaks who liked it. Actually, I liked it a lot. It took a few hours to get into it (and past the confusion from the split storyline), but after that it was pretty damned good. It also did a good job of moving the storyline of the entire series forward. I liked it almost as much as 2 actually.

I didn't dislike it as much as I make out I did, but I was rather disappointed.
