You really won't even begin to get a feel for the classes until at LEAST level 15. Hunters are an armored class - at least as armored as you'll find outside warriors and paladins.

Oh boo hoo. People will play what they enjoy. The point of a game is to have fun, not to have to conform to the lore of the game. I'm sorry, but I would NOT play a game where I was told "OK, we have our 10% quota of night elves, you aren't allowed to create one anymore." And I don't even HAVE a night elf.
Sure, conform to the lore if you like. If that's how you have fun, more power to you! Until the company forces conforming, however, don't expect people to not play what they enjoy to appease you.
When you make an MMO, lore WILL get thrown out the window by the players. You can enforce some parts of lore, but enforcing it right from the beginning by restricting what your avatar looks like is going too far.

'Cause people want to be Legolas am i rite?
Seriously, the race variety for Alliance hunters sucks. They've got Night Elves, and Dwarves. People are going to fit in one category or the other, and night elf racials are quite a bit better for a hunter than dwarf racials.
Horde has better variety for hunters. 3 races, Tauren, Trolls, and Orcs. Alliance has better variety for rogues. Every Alliance race can be rogue.
It's not something people hear about.

Cool... just failed another run for Rend Swords and a Tunic, but I finally bought the bastard bracer from hell... 2 more pieces. Hat and Tunic.
