If you want, I have the files for Za's old custom UO server that was really awesome, but it's on the POL emulator and POL sucks.
I have some experience in GMing and a lot of experience in playing UO though, so if you need help or anything, shoot.

It's not something people hear about.
I'd vote for CS, but I don't see it being as accessable to as many people of the others because it's only good for skilled FPSers, it can be fun, but going up against the elite and especially those that have mastered it, will become a pain. It also gets frustrating after a while.
UO left a VERY bad taste in my mouth, but of course that was public, I'd probably try it again if it went strait EC and Custom, I dunno.
I want UT2k4 REALLLY bad, but I can't afford it right now. Otherwise I'd be SO on that option, if I do manage to get it at some point, I'd be all over it. But since I assume others cannot or will not pay for it as it is now, I also didn't pick this option.
Picked UT mostly because it is so cheap, you can have fun in it with limited people, or even just with bots while waiting on others, works on much older and less powerful machines while still being pretty, doesn't have a steep learning curve like CS or Half-Life based shooters, it's kind of mindless and just good fun without having to worry about balance, classes, commands, orders, or any of that.
Picked Tribes 2 because I thought it was neat, and interesting, but with the shitty ass netcode lagging everything, the learning curve, takez forever to patch and will kill Dial Up users, and never any really good games going (There were only ever like 3 ECers playing together at a time, and we had to go to Public Servers to even do that for the most part) I could never really get into it because of that. I'd try again if it was EC Only and had a decent amount of people willing to play.
NWN is just flat out cool, but unless you built and programmed a world for us, umm... HOw would that work? Just going through the senarios and whatnot is kinda pointless, I mean what would we do on there? Faelynn LeAndris fucked around with this message on 04-11-2004 at 11:45 AM.

You'd still need to buy at least Half-Life to get CS, or CS Retail.
It also has Bots, which means no waiting around for ever just to play around and goof off. Since you can at least play the bots until someone else joins.
CS you need at LEAST 2 people, and 1 on 1 just flat out sucks. So with as few people as we have that play at one time, during most parts of the day, games with bots are a big plus.
