Also, the way they phrase it, it sounds like these signups are really just pre-signpus to create an account so that when the actual signups do come you'll be able to... sign up.

In other news, the new witch hunter page is useless because it gives no info on what Interrogation and Judgement do or how the class works other than (presumably) DPS.
The Empire and Chaos class descriptions are all pretty lackluster. They say in so many words: "This is a tank. This is a DPS class."
Theoretically, every class will be a PvP class, hence the eradication of pure healers. I'm interested to see how they'll make a tank class work in PvP, though.

For one, players will physically obstruct other players, so tanks will be able to actually block enemies.

Collision detection, really? That's a huge step for it; you can just ignore a tank if you walk through it. If you can't actually get around him, then that's much better. No running around that freak.

Also, most of the tank classes have other utility which makes ignoring them tough. Black Orcs have stuns/melee debuffs, Chaos Chosen have spells (unknown what they do yet), Dwarf Ironbreakers get damage bonuses for friendly PCs being hurt, and Empire Knights get positional attacks (rumored).
Goblins are cool too.
quote:
The very first place [Chaos players] get to go is villages where they put to death everyone who stands in their way. No children, but [there are] villagers, and as befits the Warhammer IP, the villagers do not willingly go their slaughter. They pick whatever weaponry they've got at hand, and they fight -- because everybody fights, all the time, forever! In the opening village, the Chaos Warriors start on this big train -- like, this big army -- and they come out of these enormous cages that they're being moved around in and there's this village -- an Empire village -- and it's like, half rubbled and ruined, and the first thing they have to do is go off into the forest, get the people. They kill the people from the village, collect their body parts, take them to Hellcannons, fill the heads, the shoulders, the livers and lungs into the Hellcannons and then fire those body parts out of the Hellcannon toward this enormous wizard's tower where this rogue Bright Wizard is throwing fireballs down to blow them up.
The whole idea is that the Chaos army can't be bothered to kill the Bright Wizard. The Chaos army just merely wants him tied up with things to do, so they jettison the players, and say, "Just keep him busy and deal with him while we march to Altdorf." The first thing you do as a Chaos person is you're burning a city to the ground, loading up demon-fused cannons with body parts, and then firing them at a Bright Wizard. How cool is that?

I'm pretty thrilled with the idea of the Black Orc, really. They seem like a combination of warriors and rogues as they fight and disorient their opponent by throwing them down and kicking them, stringing together huge combos of stuns and trips.
Unfortunately, I think the Chosen are going to be the n00b magnets and I'll be alone in a sea of morons.
