If it weren't for the fact that I usually keep one good psychic type around, I'd be crippled by a descent fighting type.
This will come in handy later.
Also, the Pal Pad you get in Oreburgh City has your friend code, so let's get a move on.
Gains' Codes Mr. Gainsborough fucked around with this message on 04-22-2007 at 04:15 PM.

I added your US Pearl code, even though I have Pearl too.
Still trying to find someone who can trade me a Glameow. I've got several stunky available for trade if any pearl players need 'em.
Name: J Chaos

EDIT: Hell, if you guys want any other Early Game Pokes, I've got several of the more elusive ones. Just ask, maybe I've got it. Nearly everything, except Munchlax and Heracross... And hell, most of the Sweet Honey ones. Mooj fucked around with this message on 04-22-2007 at 04:53 PM.

I'm playing Diamond by the way.
I wanna know who it is at Nintendo that made that decision too... Someone needs to be smacked for it.

Mooj wrote, obviously thinking too hard:
You can catch Ponyta outside of the city with the second Gym. Other than that, there are literally no fire types to be had in the main D/P game except for the flaming ass monkey.
D:
Guess I could go back and grab a Starly.
Thanks for the info.

From the book of Mooj, chapter 3, verse 16:
Speaking of the Flame Monkey... Gains, I don't suppose you happened to take Chimchar as your starter in your Japanese copy? I'm looking for something that can give a Ponyta Flame Wheel through breeding...
Nope. Pochama all around.
If I get bored and you get something good for me, I might be convinced to play through the first half hour of Diamond again. Mr. Gainsborough fucked around with this message on 04-22-2007 at 10:17 PM.
My breeding shall commence well at this rate.

From the Book of Armaments, Mr. Gainsborough did read;
Imo, there is no point in fucking with any sort of actual battle team until you're well done and over with the game and can level anywhere you want.
You're just learning this now? After how many generations of Pokemon games?

From the Book of Armaments, Mooj did read;
Thus far, my rampant trade-whoring has paid off... Still need FEMALE starters, but I've got male versions of all of them.My breeding shall commence well at this rate.
Do you (or anyone) know if you can put eggs on the Global Trade System? Heck, in Ruby/Sapphire, I would trade eggs to my nephew/other cart, just so I didn't have to deal with boosted exp. (Eggs don't have trainer IDs - newly hatched babies obviously take the ID of the owner when they hatch)

Mightion Defensor had this to say about the Spice Girls:

He's not learning this just now, he made that comment towards Mooj. -_-

Does Geodude still roll around in feces?

I haven't played since Red.
Same, though I have uh... copies of all the others to date (save Diamond and Pearl, of course).
Wasn't really going all out with this on account of me not being able to read moon language.
Check GTS?
Just need a quick trade back and forth. If you have one of the trade evos, feel free to use that.
Heh, I'm trying to get a lot of stuff via GTS. Problem is, I haven't SEEN a munchlax yet...
Thanks though.
Am I going to have to wait forever and a fucking day like in the first games to find an Evee, Ponyta, or Vulpix? Just curious. Flareon, Ninetails, and Rapidash were my oldschool fire frontrunners.

ACES! Another post by Mr. Gainsborough:
Ponyta you find a gazillion of em between gyms 2 and 3, Eevee is an story mon as usual, and Vulpix you can find on Route 209 if you have Leaf Green in your GBA slot.
Thanks on the first two, and awwwww crap on the Vulpix. I haven't had a single Pokemon game since the original Red version on Gameboy...
So does that mean ALL of the old pokemon are off limits unless you have FireRed/LeafGreen? Or is that just the EASIEST way to get them?
I am noob, like I said, first Pokemon game since first gen.

You have to get the National Pokedex before putting a GBA games in the second slot does anything at all, right?

A sleep deprived Mightion Defensor stammered:

Probably. Fucking everything requires National Dex.
Like 112/150 myself, so w/e. It's not difficult at all, it's just really restrictive while you're actually playing the story.
Honestly, I would rather be overwhelmed by a ton of Pokemon in each area, rather than having like half the game unlocked after completing all the story to only have mindless gathering afterwards. Mr. Gainsborough fucked around with this message on 04-24-2007 at 02:28 AM.
