To run God of War 2 in a slightly higher resolution, hold L1, L2, L3, Circle, and Square before the game starts up. (Before the SCEA Presents legal screen shows. You'll know it worked because that very same screen will be in purple text instead of white.)

Related note...ever watch the stuff in GoW 1 talking about ideas they had for GoW2? One of them dealt with Kratos' long-dead brother. Had this whole "Devil" thing going on.
