1st character so far is a rogue with equal levels in fighter. Going to go Duelist in two levels or so.

Finished Act One, not so bad, the NPC side quest might make it worthwile to replay. The once scene with Neeeska, Khelgar and Qara insulting each other was unexpected, or if you bring the Gnome to Deekin.

Just realized, I have the Limited Edtion, it was the only copy left on the shelf at the time, Does anyone know were these special items are supposed to be in the game?

They're sold at three merchants scattered around. One is a merchant in Blacklake at the top of the incline leading to the castle, one is a Gnome woman at the docks past the Sunken Flagon, and the third I think is in Port Llast.

At least I think that's what your talking about. I could be wrong.

Also, am I the only one who finds Qara to be an extremely annoying bitch?

Sadly, no, not really, which is kinda odd for a game developed by Black Isle/Obsidian and Bioware.

Only two romances exist in the game, male characters can go for Elanee, female characters can go for Casavir.

You could always just tell her not to cast any spells under the behavior tab. It's really your own fault for letting the AI handle spellcasting on a character with a shitton of area effect spells like that.

Yeah, the AI is pretty terrible.

"Scaled" casting mode says it means they'll use the appropriate amount of spells for the challenge, but it actually means they'll use three fireballs on a single enemy.

If you choose "No spellcasting," it actually says that they won't use "many" spells...which translates to them using two fireballs on a single enemy.

So, basically, with casters, it's best to go Puppet Mode. Khelgar can go hog wild, though.

I haven't had any trouble with Qara casting excessive amounts of spells when I put her in no casting mode. The AI actually behaves itself and leaves the casting to me. On Elanee and Zhjaeve though, they tend to eat through their alotted spells no matter what casting mode I put them in.

What I end up having trouble with is keeping healing potions around. I can't keep a single damned healing potion on any of my melee characters because as soon as they take damage, they guzzle every damned potion they have in their inventory.

I just restarted last night, on the way to Port Last Shandra somehow transformed into a red dwarf The last save I had that was dwarf free was from a day ago. Not to mention the numorus converstion bugs that pop up, i pretty much quicksave before every quest converstion now.

I would suggest saveing the game in seperate save slot like every half hour or even less, so many fucking bugs still.

Planetouched level at an achingly slow rate. I may restart again with a boring old human.

Not the mention that in cutscenes the planetouched look like they're falling asleep, constantly blinking and shaking their head like they're trying to stay awake or are quite insane.

A quick tip for anyone about to go into Jerro's Haven: make sure to take anything you want to keep off Shandra. You lose control of her as soon as she spills her blood to open the door. I ended up losing about 140,000 worth of armor and weapons since you lose everything on her.

You know, when you're in the house to get the informant, there are rogues all over the place and they're stealthed. Then you see them, go up and attack, and when they attack back (just one of them!), they slap you with a sneak attack for some insane reason.

Go to the video options and click auto detect. I did that and it runs smooth as butter for me (unless there are a LOT of things on screen but that's rare). Also make sure AA and AF are turned off.

Well, things like this are pretty much the reason why I never buy a Bioware/Obsidian game when it is first released anymore. NWN was buggy as hell, and I expected no less here. I'll probably pick up NWN2 once it's been out several months and has lots of patches.

I patched my game via the updater once it was installed. It gave me a new patch released in the last few days of October and my game seems pretty solid. The only glitches I've came across have been internal clothes clipping with external armour and shields clipping with character shoulders. Both of which you can only really see when really close to the character.

I found a bug last night where casting Impact (3rd level Cleric Spell) permanently gives the weapon Keen instead of only 10mins/level. I don't know if this will work on other blunt weapons, but it did work on my +1 Flaming Morningstar.

Did both of these as suggested and still no difference at all. Even used the nVidia control panel to force AA and AF off and it didn't care.

When I do that it turns on all the high shafdows and shit. I don't have the greatest of cards, it is a 6200, but it should hanlde this game I would think. I mean indoors the game gets chuggtastic.
