I have to say I haven't had any problems with mine! Ghosting only happens on sub-$200 LCDs as far as I know or if they're several year old. It seems pretty silly to me to dismiss an entire technology based on flaws it had when it was rather new to the consumer world or on the ultra cheap bottom of the line versions of them but maybe that's just me

Depends on your needs, for gameing I think the trend is to CRT's and Plasma Displays, I belive LCd's still have very poor refresh rates compared CRT's. But if you are just doing work, not a big gamers, LCD's are very nice space savers.

Do you realize that 60 fps means 16.6 ms refresh? Did you further realize that you can get LCDs with a 8 ms white-black-white refresh rate? And did you realize, even further, that it is a rare event in a video game where the screen will go from white to black to white twice in one frame?
LCDs are perfectly suitable for gaming. Better if you ask me, since they are easier to lug to a lan party.

You can get an 8ms LCD really cheap now, which eliminates the ghosting issue, and the screen size is generally actually bigger than a CRT since a 19" LCD will use the full 19" whereas a 19" CRT will only be 18" viewable. LCDs are also better on your eyes, generate less heat, have a better picture (in general), and consume less power.
