I said it was a missing chapters type deal. Since it is basically covering a part of Batmans life that was typically left alone, ie: His move into becoming Batman. Nitpickery will get you nowhere. It is a retelling of the Batman story. It's just focusing on certain elements, and modifying others. Ras was in no way connected to Bruce's training, for instance. Just like Willy Wonka/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are telling essentially the same story with different emphases.
I just twitch at the idea of comparing BATMAN (caped crusading dark knight of Gotham, badass supreme, scares even other heroes) with Willy Wonka (WONKAVISION!)
I mean...Willy Wonka's like two steps away from being a villain on the old Adam West Batman TV show.
