There was much rejoicing when Delphi Aegis said this:
I propose a rule whereby Fae cannot speak about WoW save in an advisory sense. This "lolol rogues pwn hunters" and subsequent "lol u fag hunters pwn rogues" (Replacing rogues with whatever happens to be the flavor of the thread) is getting tiresome. Quickly.
When it comes to Hunters I know my class. This thread was about Hunters, and it was about Hunters in PvP, it was stated that Hunters were not good in PvP by Error, and I disagreed, and gave examples of why they are not bad in PvP with ways to around certain classes, as well as naming thier limitations against classes like Warriors and Shamans.
Error THEN went on to say exactly how he could own any hunter with certain abilities he had, and I went on to tell him exactly why that wouldn't work. Detailing exactly how to get around it. Talonus did exactly the same thing by coming in and saying any Rogue would destroy a hunter, which I again didn't agree with, although at least in his Defense he is right that I am not 60, and things could very well change at that point, however I could still talk about the 45 and below situations.
So if you are going to accuse someone of goint the "loloz my class owns your class" route. At least pay attention to the conversation. I came into it in the defense of it being said that Hunters were not good at PvP, and then in further defense when someone else claimed they could own any hunter, and explicitly went behind them and told them exactly why those abilities wouldn't work.
I lose just like anyone else, and there are players with exceptionally more skill that I that can beat you no matter WHAT thier class is. And me coming to the defense of Hunters, especially in a defensive mode, is far less intrusive that your not being able to come into nearly any thread and spooging over your Warlock superiority, and how you are like an end all be all authority on Warlocks. So we wont even go there.
In fact, in the begining, I could not get my hunter to work well in PvP and actually came HERE to ask Advice from other players like Parcelan and the like and how to beat them, and none of them really had any advice so I had to learn it on my own, and I didn't think they were gonna be very good at all. Then I learned the class, I played other classes to learn weaknesses, and I dual friends with strategies I've learned that have been used against me, and I PvP constantly so I keep on top of my game. In the end I came away with a good bit of experience. Yet any player still has the chance to beat me, based purely on thier luck, or skill. Still I DO have ways around most classes, and strategies against most classes, and I am very good at it.
Edit: And the only other time I ever even said anything about Hunters owning any particular other class was versus that Paladin crap, and thats because it is true. It may take a while but a Hunter can give a Paladin hell. And that was in responce to everyone whining that Paladins were basically gods. And I also described how OTHER classes had things to use against them as well. The only other time a Hunter vs CLasshere conversation came up was against Warriors, and if you recall, I was stating we WEREN'T good against Warriors and it was someone ELSE saying Hunters owned that class, not me. In fact I went on to talk about how they had ways around me, and they STILL Fought saying Hunters owned them. Faelynn LeAndris fucked around with this message on 01-13-2005 at 10:31 AM.

Not sure where it came from, but we were both on top of Un'goro Crater farming Fire Elementals and Thorium.

Past 35 or so it becomes increasingly difficult to keep pets happy without excessive expense. So yeah, I understand his pain. Doesn't help they have a Horrid diet since they are TECHNICALLY part of the Wind Serpent Family, which means Fish (Overly Picky on what type they will actually eat. They wont eat just any fish. And they make you fucking cook it first. ), Fungus (Overly Picky on what type they will actually eat. They wont eat just any fungus.), and Bread.

Error had this to say about the Spice Girls:
This is the quote to which I gave my opinion. If you didn't want to hear opinions sucha s "Hunters aren't very good at pvp" (which isn't what I said btw) then why did you ask for it?And I'm furthur curious as to why you would ask such a question if you already had formed your own conclussions based on your personal experiences?
Nowhere does he say anything about not wanting to hear that Hunters are not very good at PvP, since he hasn't posted in this thread since his initial post.
If you are talking to Fae, he didn't ask any of those questions, he only responded to you.

I mainly say it because half the time he's talking out his ass.
This is why I do not speak about WoW.
If I had anything intelligent to say, it'd just be repeating something my brother (who actually plays the game, as opposed to leveling every so often) has told me. Vorbis fucked around with this message on 01-13-2005 at 07:46 PM.
But, yeah, even though I'm only 18, I can start to see what a ranged hunter does, can do, and can't do (although I can't say anything with any backing behind it.)
