I was pleasantly suprised
I get the feeling that they were setting something up with John Jack in Contract JACK. I'll be playing through NOLF 2 to see if there's evidence of the same thing, but until then I won't voice my suppositions.

I can't think of a much cooler gift than an imperial russian silver pocket watch.
My sister's helping me redo the interior of my car for her Christmas present. I think she has ulterior motives, though. She keeps dropping hints that she wants it prom night this year.
Heh heh. Yeah, right.
Today is kind of a mini-Christmas too, though. I'm meeting with the other side of my family. I don't know if they'll "get" anything worthwhile, but my grandfather usually gives me lots of money. Suddar fucked around with this message on 12-26-2004 at 02:09 PM.

- Sean Stewart's new book, Perfect Circle.
- Dad's old CD player.
- Two of those bigass chocolate bars.
- A bag with tangerine-scented lotion, perfume, bath gel, body pouf and bath salts.
- Socks.
- Two free admissions thing for Famous Players.
- An oil candle.
- 60$ collectively in HMV gift cards.
- 40$ Future Shop gift card.
- 50$ from my Nono.
Of these things, only one I actually asked for. I actually wrote a wish list, do you believe that? Only one thing, and I wouldn't have gotten it if I don't have the best fucking cousins ever. I have gotten EVERY ITEM on my Never Give Me This Ever For Anything It Is Better Just Sending A Card List (chocolate, socks, candles, bath stuff). All in all, kinda disappointing.
But, I got a solution.
The candles, the bath stuff, and the Famous Players thing goes to mom. She likes that candle and that scent, and she's more of a movie freak than I am (she's a screenwriter!). My brother gets the rest of the assorted gift certificates, because he's more of a music guy than I could be (he's a guitarist!). I don't know what I'll do with the CD player, but when I find someone more deserving, they get that. The chocolate bars are public domain, as is the money, save 20$ I'm keeping for shipping. The book I'm sure no one else would appreciate. Oh well.
I give none, I get none, mans. I give none, I get none, that's the rule. The rule was broken, and I must set the situation right again.

I didn't know you could get one for Christmas. I want one.
In all seriousness, to add to my list my cousin gave me Jim Morrison's biography. I'm such a cool cat. With a lot of books to read.
An aluminum flight case my grandfather used for his supplies when he was first learning to fly, inside were literally hundreds of photographs of airshows and air museums he had taken over the years, as well as photos of family gatherings, baby pictures of myself and photos of my first airplane ride when I was 3 years old.
An electric razor.
A BUBBLE GUN
A handheld transciever for my flight bag with a headset adapter and extra battery pack.
A decent amount of cash
A framed 8x10 photo of me posed with my airplane the day I passed my private pilot checkride

I haven't had a decent christmas in about 10 years (My family keeps pulling fucking pranks on me regarding my presents), but I do get to spend it with family.. And they're not like a "omfg i h8 my family" family either. So that's something.
My sister got me a nice Stoli giftpack thing.. It comes with a plastic doodad to make shotglasses.
Out of ice.
Best christmas gift ever.

What kind of mustang costs 1400 bucks? D:
Seriously though, I just get a little depressed reading these threads as I (usually) don't get much for christmas/birthdays anymore. :/ I didn't mean to sound angsty or anything, it was a nice christmas, even if I didn't get a good "haul".

$1500 and it was a good deal. And still running over 2 years later with minimal trouble given to me! It is however as old as I am pretty much.

With Cash:
I bought MGS: The Twin Snakes and a 1019 page memory card.
A visit to Liam's house the other day got me hooked into the MGS series, so now I want to start from the beginning to get the story (I know metal gear started with the nintendo games, but FUCK are they ever impossible to play), so I figured I would get the gamecube remake of the first MGS game for PSX.
And.. I might have gotten other stuff, but I'm not very good at remembering little things, and the tree is all the way out in the living room and I'm too lazy to go check.
Pretty good haul, though. The gamecube is keeping me occupied, and away from WoW! My characters almost have a whole level worth of rested exp now. Goma fucked around with this message on 12-29-2004 at 12:22 AM.
