Contract JACK wasn't bad. It just wasn't NOLF. Most of the humor in the game comes from the smartass remarks the upstart criminal organization (an Italian bunch called "Danger Danger") troopers make, rather than the wry, witty comments you're used to coming from Cate Archer (it is funny to see the value on her wanted posters go up as the game progresses).

I get the feeling that they were setting something up with John Jack in Contract JACK. I'll be playing through NOLF 2 to see if there's evidence of the same thing, but until then I won't voice my suppositions.

I got a portable XM Radio tuner.

My sister's helping me redo the interior of my car for her Christmas present. I think she has ulterior motives, though. She keeps dropping hints that she wants it prom night this year.

Heh heh. Yeah, right.

My "haul" thus far:
-Creative Zen Touch
-Dance Dance Revolution
-Hub caps for my car
-Roadside emergency kit
-Winter clothes (thicker jacket, warmer hat, scarf, gloves)
-Lots of candy
-$50

Today is kind of a mini-Christmas too, though. I'm meeting with the other side of my family. I don't know if they'll "get" anything worthwhile, but my grandfather usually gives me lots of money.

Lesse here.

- Sean Stewart's new book, Perfect Circle.
- Dad's old CD player.
- Two of those bigass chocolate bars.
- A bag with tangerine-scented lotion, perfume, bath gel, body pouf and bath salts.
- Socks.
- Two free admissions thing for Famous Players.
- An oil candle.
- 60$ collectively in HMV gift cards.
- 40$ Future Shop gift card.
- 50$ from my Nono.

Of these things, only one I actually asked for. I actually wrote a wish list, do you believe that? Only one thing, and I wouldn't have gotten it if I don't have the best fucking cousins ever. I have gotten EVERY ITEM on my Never Give Me This Ever For Anything It Is Better Just Sending A Card List (chocolate, socks, candles, bath stuff). All in all, kinda disappointing.

But, I got a solution.

The candles, the bath stuff, and the Famous Players thing goes to mom. She likes that candle and that scent, and she's more of a movie freak than I am (she's a screenwriter!). My brother gets the rest of the assorted gift certificates, because he's more of a music guy than I could be (he's a guitarist!). I don't know what I'll do with the CD player, but when I find someone more deserving, they get that. The chocolate bars are public domain, as is the money, save 20$ I'm keeping for shipping. The book I'm sure no one else would appreciate. Oh well.

I give none, I get none, mans. I give none, I get none, that's the rule. The rule was broken, and I must set the situation right again.

And.. I might have gotten other stuff, but I'm not very good at remembering little things, and the tree is all the way out in the living room and I'm too lazy to go check.
