I was wrong to despair, Ms. Moneypenny.
Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Pierce Brosnan kicks ass.

No matter how good the actor, you bastards wouldn't be satisfied unless it was Connery himself. I personally like Brosnan more, anyway.

I agree. Pierce Brosnan's performance in Die Another Day was the best rendition of the character yet.

Brosnan was a great fit for the role of Bond after Connery left. Look at him. He's fucking James Bond.

For Orlando, I don't see anything happening. He doesn't fit the mold.
It's bullshit. James Bond just sold out.

Connery and Brosnan were the best two Bonds.

I could see Orlando filling the role if he filled out a bit. He's too scrawny. But he's got the facial features for it.

Only if he gets to say "You're the man now dog" again, oh and then we find out that bond is play by someone that fits the part better.

Connery is obviously the best incarnation of Bond and there's no denying that, but Brosnan just felt like he was Bond. Dunno what it is about him, but it felt like Brosnan was the Bond that the character was originally envisioned to be. The problem is, he got crappy scripts which made him look so much lesser. Had he gotten better scripts, he would have been as good as Connery, if not better.

Orlando Bloom is no Bond though, not at all. Hopefully he gets kicked from the role soon.

I sincerely hope that casting comes to their senses quickly.

"Let's cast a prettyboy who's done a couple of roles (none of them very well, imo), but can get every teenage girl into the theatre to up our grosses! They don't care about the story! Let's be sure to add in a shower scene, like we did for the Tomb Raider fanbois too!"

I thought the shitty writing, making lighthearted comedy sequels to a dark dramatic original movie was what killed Batman.

That and not sticking to one guy playing Batman. They played the "hot ticket" actor at a given time, and it started to wear. I have a lot of faith in Christian Bale pulling of Batman in the next flick.

I don't, however, feel confident in Orlando Bloom pulling off Bond. It has nothing to do with his ability as an actor. I liked him in everything I've seen him in. He's got a promising career ahead of him. It's just that casting him as James Bond is a bit like Vin Diesel wanting to play the Flash; great actor, bad role for them.

Connery was the original. He was Bond "as he really was". Brosnan was great because he was the "idealized" Bond. All the coolness of Connery distilled, but in the distillation process he lost some of Connery's credibility. Brosnan was a little too cool, a little too collected, which is the only reason why he was second to Connery.

Orlando Bloom MIGHT be able to pull it off in a few years. Get blooded by life a bit. I agree with the idea that He still looks a little too fresh. Good actors are often like fine wines; you have to let them age a bit before you hand them the heavy stuff.

That may be true, but in an interview with Clooney, he admitted to pretty much killing Batman by taking the role.

I tend to agree, when it came to acting i though the guy who played the second batman (drew a blank trying to rember his name) was the worse of the 3 modern ones.

They went from Dark knight to Camp again, should have left Robin out and certainly Batgirl.

though the villians havent been that bad. Obviously Jack as The joker was a brilliant choice, but Carey was great as the riddler. Bane could have been a bit better though.
