Hannibal, Missouri is the town that Mark Twain was born in, and was the basis for St. Petersberg (the town in Tom Sawyer). There is an actual cave (known as Mark Twain cave) that was the basis for the cave used in the book too. Every 4th of July, they have "Mark Twain Days", with Tom and Becky costume contests and fence whitewashing races for the kids.
It's a tourist trap. I spent ten years growing up there, and there's nothing BUT Mark Twain stuff in that town for entertainment. (Well, allmost.) I learned to hate Mark Twain, but I have to admit that if any state gets that Tom Saywer/Huck Finn look, it's Missouri.
However, if you want a different look for Missouri, there was someone else of interest born in Hannibal. It's the hometown of the Unsinkable Molly Brown.

Actually If I'm behind it, I can think of plenty to show... Probably not much having to do with the state though.
Little factoid.. UBT was born and mostly raised in Missouri. As much as a kid could be raised there while being a military brat. His family still lives there.

Yes. Every person in California talks that way. Good job at spotting that. It must have been hella hard for you.
California would be hard to represent. There are too many different cultures strewn about in it to have just one person be a representative for all of it. For just a picture a surfer girl would probably work, since that's what most people think of when they try to imagine California.
there is a joke in this post that only SoCal people will get. Or miss totally because they are 'too cool' for NorCal.
It's just so much easier to stereotype than it is to understand.

I do know that some of the people I have met where his parents live now are that way. I met some real ignorant people there too, as far as racial bias. It made me want to leave that place. They live Down in Terre Du Lac now, and his Grandparents have lived in Cabool forever.
