If you don't drink, you don't have to participate. But if you come here with your opinions, prepare to have a rabid woodland creature smacked on your face.
My personal favorite would have to be rum. Though tequila and vodka are both dandy, I think the taste of rum is my most favorite. It'll get you nice and drunk and has a little personality to it.
Now you go.
This is a tough one, because a good Armagnac is hard to beat with a cup of coffee and dessert.
Wine: an old Burgundy.
This one's tough, too, but the character and subtlety of an aged Grand Cru is without peer. Expensive. . .but peerless.
Beer: Trappist ale.
Although an Irish creme ale might run a close second, who can go wrong with beer brewed by monks?

Tequila.
Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, preferably from California. (It's a red wine)
Beer: Stauder Pils. A very mild pils.
Have to be careful of some aquavit though, each region puts their own special ingredient in and some of them are not good
Not that anyof that matters, as I haven't been drinking much at all recently, other than the occasional Heineken (yeah yeah, I know). [ 10-04-2003: Message edited by: diadem ]
Smirnoff Vodka isn't half bad for the money, either.
Tuborg is a Danish brand, yay
Should've said something, but I've said it enough
By the way my words were faded
Rather waste some time with you...
beer: Smithwicks or Hoegarden
Spirit: Scotch (Glenfidditch or Johnnie Walker) neat
No, Really. Bite me.
Rum and coke. Bacardi Light or 151 is good, Ronrico(I have found out) is not worth the couple bucks saved... Infact Bacardi 151 will make even a bad movie like Harley Davidson and the Marbrollo Man into an epic adventure.
Tequila is something I always like, but rarely can get my friends to drink with me
Then again, my drinking experience is a little small due to ::cough:: age ::cough:: factors. Although in about 6 months
Lyinar Ka`Bael, Piney Fresh Druidess - Luclin
Liquor: Stolichnaya Vodka, though Smirnoff's isn't that bad. Johnny Walker for whiskey. I honestly have to do some more testing for other types.
Beer: Coronas are the way to go if I want a lighter beer, and I've taken a liking to a local microbrew in Seattle called Alaskan Amber. Sam Adams is decent too.

An aged sauterne or a madeira does almost as well.
Spirit: Rum or most anything made with Blue Curacao because I like the color.
Beer: Blech! I just can't get past the smell. It turns my stomach something awful.
Crown Royal for Whiskey types.
Booze: Glenkinchie, Tequila
Wine: Wine? We do't need no stinking wine.
Mixed drinks: Margaritas are my downfall.

Liquor: Vodka (Call showed me the love that is Stoli), Coconut Rum (cmon.. tastes like blue coconut snow cones!), and Vernal Temptress is right.. Blue Curacao is just a beautiful touch to any drink.. the color is so gorgeous and presents really well with so many mixed drinks. =)
Wine: Cant say I have an absolute favorite.. although I must say to date the best wine Ive tasted was some Dom Perignon that KaL's uncle got as a company gift for Xmas.
Beer: Im not closed to suggestions.. though I will say most American beers just.. taste horrible to me. Im willing to try microbrewery type beers though cause I was told the brewing process is alot more thorough and better than the silly mass markets. ;D
I've never gotten drunk, I'm chronically ill enough alchohol doesn't have much effect past some muscle relaxation. So I drink for taste and back pain relief.
At parties, I'm known to take shots of lab grade, for the wake up factor.
The rest is silence.
Thinking about your posts
(and billing you for it) since 2001
I can't help it, I love sweet foods/candy/drinks. I guzzle soda pop like there's no tomorrow, I am one of the few people I know who actually LIKES Sunny D.
Beer is anathema to me, and most of the more bitter drinks out there I will blatantly refuse to touch.
Like coffee. H8 it.
Anyway!
Captain Morgan I love! Splash some Coke or Pepsi over the ice for coloring.
Or a really nice ICY cold vodka martini.
I also love Mescal to sip.
Tequila if it is aged nicely can be so wonderful. I like it straight, or in Margaritas made with Grand Marinier.
Whiskey.. some I love some not so much. Jack Daniels is a favorite of mine.
Crown Royal, another sipping drink for me, on ice or not. Although I have been known to put it with Coke and a cherry. (I know.. I am a brat)
As for beer.. I have always contended that it was shite! But recently I have had a change of heart. I LOVE Newcastle and Guiness! I will drink Newcastle alone, but I like a mixture of the two of them together, the Irish pub here calls that a Black and Brown.. rather than a Black and Tan.
Wine: Several makers, but favorites are msotly German Mosel Reisling Ausliese r Spatlaise (sp?). These wines tend to be sweeter than what's trendy these days, and thus harder to find in the US, but got hooked on em when I was a foreign exchange student in Russelsheim.
Beer: Xingu. Definately Xingu. It's a Brazilian Black beer. I've yet to find any other beer that even comes close. Since it is rare in the US, I usually settle for a Guiness or a Killians

Thanks. It was too late to spell in a foreign language when I posted that.
Personal Observation: A rum drunk is far more enjoyable than a beer drunk. Im not sure why, but it just is.
Everclear or Vodka.
