So what was your first FPS?

So quoth OtakuPenguin:
Wolfenstein 3d
The freeware version for me. Then Doom.
Thinking about your posts
(and billing you for it) since 2001
Otherwise, Doom, Hexen, Heretic, all those.
It's not something people hear about.
Then Unreal Tournament.
Dues Ex was the first I ever cared about.

Kennatsu painfully thought these words up:
I forget what it was called but the game was made by Dynamix. You were in a tank shooting up stuff, I think...
Dynamix? That would be EarthSiege or something like that.... it's been a while. Cheap ripoff of Mechwarrior.
if not then Wolfenstein3D... I am the only person I know that bought the full version of that game
And Ultima Underworld 2 was an awesome game. I remember getting my first sound card, and it was so awesome. You could hear your foot steps, the sword swinging..
The memories..
And people wonder why I don't play FPS's.

Kermitov stopped beating up furries long enough to write:
Does Operation WOLF count as an FPS?
Operation WOLF and the like are not true FPS games because you're not in control of the character, you're just shooting things. Basically an updated shooting gallery.

ACES! Another post by Not Trent:
Doom
GOD BLESS DOOM!
I had the triple version that when I loaded up it let me pick which game and which lvl I was gonna go to... I miss it.
also I sometimes miss my DOS games menu screen. [ 07-01-2003: Message edited by: Cysa Da Merc ]
I'm so horribly deprived
Though, that might've been Wolf3d. It's been so long, I don't have any idea.
The first one that I really cared about or had fun plaing was Fire Arms.
I remember sitting there as an eight year old kid protecting the hookers from being shot...
Heh heh...

Suddar Model 2000 was programmed to say:
It was either Wolf3d, Doom, or some game that the guy blasted his head off every time you quit.Though, that might've been Wolf3d. It's been so long, I don't have any idea.
The random quit messages in Wolf3d ruled. And one of them was about committing suicide or something like that.

P.S. Yes, I also bought Wolf 3D. Extra points if you still have the disks.

OtakuPenguin had this to say about (_|_):
Wolfenstein 3d

KaLourin thought about the meaning of life:
Some funky arse alien-overrun base fps on the Sega genesis.
If that's the game I'm thinking it is, then ditto for me.

Zero Tolerence?
