Pagan is not a religion!

We can argue Wicca all day, but there is no such religion as Pagan.

"Pagan" simply means "not Christian."

I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before.

For the sake of Parcelan's research, I broadly fall under the category of:

D. Agnostic (I dunno)

I want to believe, but I'm too cynical to have more than an operative philosophy based off of Taoism (which is not a religion, therefore I categorize myself as Agnostic).

So, what's the problem with her answer then? She didn't say "I'm of the Pagan Religion", she just said "I'll stick to Pagan". That's like saying "I'll stick to non-christian", isn't it?

Gyd, you left out probably the biggest one.

Us Catholics beleive that the communion IS Jesus.

The Bread and Wine are actually transformed, as opposed to symbolic.

And we can argue what I said all day because you'll need to prove me wrong, over what I choose to say when asked. I know pagan isn't a religion, but as I said I can't describe it. So I'll stick with just saying I'm pagan. It's easier for me, and a good deal of people I say that to gets it when I tell them "I'm pagan."

"Oh, you worship many gods then?"

"Yeah, in a way, I do."

And I don't have to get technical about it, unless they really want to know. But I'm lazy, and don't like shoven it in people's faces by getting into the long winded description of what I believe in.

That is one of my major points:

Every part of a mass has symbolic meaning, and according to Catholic teachings Communion is actually transformed into the literal body and blood of Christ. I told you already, I know what pagan means. I stick with it out of conveniance because I can't really describe what I believe in. if I say Polytheistic I get alot of dumb "huh?" looks. If I say Pagan, the light switches on and the person(s) I said it to understand.
