I don't think the mods should be able to do it at all. They should have to PM you and suggest it, and you make the final decision.

I understood the point of this thread to be reducing ongoing (multi-day, multi-thread) feuds. Is it also meant to encompass all disagreements? Is all debate now, or about to be, prohibited?
Also, are the moderators the sole venue by which we are allowed to deal with idiots?

And Sage - you have to admit, it's pretty rude to argue with someone else in the thread that the owner of the -boards- made against arguing.
You two should take it to PMs, it doesn't all have to be public - I understand some arguements are, but not in the anti-arguement thread.

That's what I'm trying to clarify. The thread wasn't about arguing. You know, like I just posted.
And please don't tell me what I have to admit. Second person construction can be quite offensive if one isn't careful.
Also, there are separate ignores for PM and the board. PMing insults to someone is the absolute pinnacle of immaturity and cowardice.

And the "you have got admit" thing... All I was saying is that it was pretty damnd rude. You weren't debating. You were calling each other idiots. Calling him moronic, for instance.
Also, yes, PM and Board ignores are different. -however- you still read the last thing he posted on -the board-. Sayin that the mods (or Drysart) are going to start hunting over every "debate"...
They aren't, as far as I can tell. Noone's been called on it but you and Drakkenmaw. It's pretty crude to be doing this on the thread that was made about NOT doing it, and Drys just called you on it.

I don't think either is going to solve the problem, really. But I do still stand by my opinion that increased moderator interaction could help. Even something so simple as "Hey guys, keep things clean" interjected in a hostile situation would go leagues toward putting out hot situations.
