Deliberately making a new car look old (and outlining all the buttons on the console with white) took that from cool to "eh...neat" for me.
I'd rather see something restored, not so boastful in its decoration, and be quietly badass than see something like that which screams "Loser fanboy" at the top of its lungs.
Good idea, in other words, but bad implementation.

Doesn't add up to me. Just looks like someone paused Return of the Jedi at random moments and said "I'll add that to my car!".
