Things wouldnt be going this way exactly if planets could be taken or were worth taking.
The cost of a ship vs the cost of a planet is laughable. My planets cost 1 billion credits each to set up. They've made? God only knows alot more then that.
It also doesnt help that most of the top players are in one alliance, so no combat there. Course, alliance or not, if you cant win you cant win.
Theres really no reward for killing a planet /shrug

To make it fair (and because I'm lazy) I have minimal defenses on each of my planets except 5.
1) How can I set up sector defenses, such as fighters and stuff? I know how to set em on planets and all.
2) Is there a quicker way to get fighters on planets other than buying em, dropping off, back and forth? I know i can trade route colonists...
KEEP IN MIND that fighters will draw a shitload of energy from the first planet made in a sector. If there isnt enough energy, they'll degrade by 5% (And show up in the log), so that sucks. Mines take no energy. Hey, they're mines. They just float. Mine deflectors are absurdly easy to get tho.
If you want to get a lot of fighters on planets without using turns ferrying the fighters themselves back and forth, you can put a bajillion colonists on the planet, then put 10% onto organic production, then 90% onto fighter production.. You'll make em pretty fast once you get >25 mil people on the planet.

1: When in the sector you want to place Sector defences in, simply click on the "Devices" menu, then click "Fighters" or "Mines" (Torps).KEEP IN MIND that fighters will draw a shitload of energy from the first planet made in a sector. *shrug* Its either take a few turns ferrying fighters to planets, or let colonists make em...
All my planets have 25mil colonists anyway from the start...bleh. im not lazy enough to where i wanna let the planets make the fighters

Caanis Lupus painfully thought these words up:
So what on your ship bumps your avg tech level? I increased my energy and it didn't move it. I know hull and engines do but does cloak?
Um...everything does. It's the average of the tech level of all your parts. That's why it's called average tech level.
My first planets olny had 15 million fighters and 10 million torps, but I had to triple that number because of Fate's recent incursions.

Actually I haven't lost my ship since the very beginning. I've had a few close calls, though. And you've contributed to my 212 points towards good, so yeah.

and i'm super duper glad you're mr. good now but i'm not evil. the game is dumb. i took back some planets for zephyer. i can't think of anything else that would be seen as "evil" so it must've been that.
