There have been plenty of times I've been frustrated with some aspect of EQ, and just gone into Crushbone and slaughtered every orc I came across, and helped out the newbies where appropriate. (I leave belts/pads on the corpses)
Like I said; stress relief. And a little worship from the newbies helps too.

Didnt happen with melee items. All the Melee enhancements have been locked to 50+... some are locked at level 60, like "Vengence".

Seeing as how I can't afford any of the focus items that I would find useful it will be interesting to watch the prices go up and then come back down some or not depending on how useful people find the focus effects.
Effect Level III isn't going to do anything more than Effect Level I for a low level character. The only difference Effect Level makes is what levels of spells it can work with. If you can't cast spells that high, then it doesn't really matter.
Also, all the various versions of these effects are for the same amount of effect. I expect that the high end focus items (when they come out), will be level restricted (like the mage summoned ones), and have more powerful bonuses on them. That way, even if you have a toy that gives you a spell damage bonus of x%, you'll still drool over that rare toy from Skyshrine that gives a x+5% bonus.
At first glance (but I admit I may be wrong), the mid to high end Mage summoned Focus items look more powerful than these new ones. If those didn't trash the game, how will weaker ones do it?

I was there trying to get a Dragoon Dirk for my Wizzy.
Also, the hybrid haste you mentioned is fuxxed. Dismiss undead and ToK both have their regular casting time, then "Your casting time: 0.0". I couldnt believe it myself, so I ran out and shure enough, 3 sec casting time (Down from 3.3) on Dismiss.
