I'm nuetral with furries. They are what I first drew, like the Ninja Turtles. Those guys walked around naked (except maybe a belt) and we still idolized them. *shrugs*
When I Roleplay my Furry (the one I posted on page 2), I roleplay for what he is: a Monk looking for a good beer, a good brawl, and maybe a someone to keep him warm for the night. No different than someone Roleplaying an elf and doing the same thing.
Not trying to start anything, just stating my opinion, which may or may not be right. It's just my opinion.

We get the point. Those of you who have made your point made it back on page one or page two. You're bringing nothing new to a debate, and news flash: You're not Drysart. If he's going to post pictures of roadkill, that's his business. I'll skip over his post, and move on. In retrospect, if I'd been through what he had, I'd be touchy about it too. Doesn't mean I particularly like his post, but I can ignore it. He's not shutting down the thread, and so long as people don't break the rule and post porn to the thread, furry or otherwise, I don't foresee it being locked.
But those of you who are hanging around bitching, moaning, and insulting, saying the same things over and over, especially people who are borderline (Cadga the monkey, for instance, whether he likes it or not), I'd rather you just didn't pay attention to the thread. If you're so thin-skinned that pictures of furry piss you off...if you are so annoyed that the furres in the images shown are wearing the equivalent of bathing suits, bikinis, or even just light clothing, then I never want to see another elf in skimpy clothing, I never want to see another picture of Pacifica, I never want to see another naked pixie.
In other words, Drys has a reason to be sensitive. I can at least understand his reasoning, even if I don't agree with it. But the rest of you who have his knee-jerk reaction need to just go and start an anti-furry thread. Fill it with pictures of scantily-clad elves, dark elves, humans, hell fill it with pics of trolls and ogres for all I care.
Because otherwise, you're attacking members of the community for nothing more than being different. If Archangel and Ruu and Khyron and Palador and Lynora and I were basing our interests in furry on the basis of sex, we'd be just as freakish as anyone else who based their personal image on kinky sex. But the fact is some people like furry for no other reason than it makes them feel good. I happen to like giant pandas. For some reason that I can't explain, they make me happy. Nothing sexual about it. Just as you may love your cat or your pet dog, I like Pandas. I played as a panda furry for a time. I'm not a freak.
Yes! Christ for the last time there are artists out there who put out some disgusting furry pics that make the best of us want to hurl. And I guarantee that most furry afficionados who aren't in it solely for the kinky sex angle are probably the ones who it grosses out most. We all know that shit's out there. It's pretty sad that some of you can't see past that. That's like saying anyone who involves themself in any sort of bondage, roleplay, dominance, anyone who talks dirty to their spouse, or likes to add three sugars to their coffee instead of just one is a freak...and judging EVERYONE who has those interests as a freak just because a few people with those interests happen to be out in left field.
Get a grip people. This community as a whole are sharks and you always have been. You're just cruising around looking for the next thing to attack, and man once there's blood in the water you swarm and turn things into a feeding frenzy. Yes, sometimes it's useful. Most times, however, it's just you appealing to the lowest common denominator. The quickest laugh, no matter who it hurts, the fastest "witty" comment, no matter how stupid it makes you sound, and you're quick to attack whatever someone says it's "okay" to attack. Now I realize that a good number of you are still in high school...but why is it that the genuine high school students are the ones who aren't acting like immature teenagers?
