My key set up is E S D F but, even so, it's much like the weird alien W starting one. I like using A for crouch damnit, I don't want to constantly have to check to see if my caps lock is on or not.
What's this thing do?
That would be sooo cool if it wasn't going to hurt us.

I used to use ESDF, then I went to WASD as it was the default on many more games, thus allowing me to be lazy.

I also used mouse2 for jump, but that too has changed. I use spacebar for that too, which is, yes, default.

And I have to say, my game has improved since. Can't say it's solely because of that, but you have to wonder if they're default for a reason.

I find the WASD setup very awkward. I use the up/down arrows for forward and back, the left/right arrows for strafe left/right, and the keys surrounding there for whatever else. RightCtrl for jump, RightShift for Crouch, Delete as Reload, PageDown as "Use".

I find this setup good because of the nearness of whatever I need to do. Of course, I keep my right hand on my mouse.

Okay, I could understand that setup if you used your left hand for your mouse.

But you've GOT to be some form of contortionist to pull that off.

I keep the mouse to the right of the keyboard, duh. Left hand stays on the arrows when I'm playing games, otherwise it just kinda rests over the keyboard.

No keyboard tray; it's just a standard wooden desk. The desk space isn't great, but there's clearance for me to wheel my chair somewhat over to keep this setup centered in front of me. There's enough space for me to move the mouse to wherever.

ARROW KEYS!?

That is just scary people

That would SO screw me over in FPS games, heh, having all the other keys I need on the other side of the keyboard, heh

*shudder*

If I could have it my way, WASD would be re-bound in War3 to move the screen

Arrow keys 4 life.

KP_0/KP_INS = Use.

Enter = jump.

(This is easier than it seems. Lay your arm down parallel to the keyboard. Angle it slightly so your wrist touches the bottom of the keyboard. Place hands on arrow keys. Your pinky is situated RIGHT on the enter key, which is why I can use it so easy )

Shift = crouch.

CTRL = walk.

Mouse 1 = attack.

Mouse 2 = alt attack.

Mwheeldown = reload.

Mwheelup = previous weapon

Mouse 3 = whatever else I may need.

I need no more than that to pwn. And PWN I DO!

WASD is just a relic from before the introduction of autorun. You usually had to hold down caps lock or the shift key in order to run. ESDF allows for a range over the keyboard, thus being much better for games with a larger number of bound keys. So hah to WASD I say!

And you arrow key people are freaks. You're no better than those people who don't use the mouse at all.
