Lately I've found myself hating all crpg's and anime. I've hated every crpg I've played since Tales of Symphonia and I've hated every anime I've seen since Death Note. Am I just coming across bad ones or have I grown out of this phase?

I think it's more a "once you've seen a couple different anime series, you've seen all of them".
Mine would be Skeith from .hack//GU. Actually kind of enjoyed the series, even if the story turned into the typical "jackass hero kid/guy learns a lesson and becomes a good hero kid/guy" anime plot in the end.
The foot-dragging faggot must be a really compelling archetype for the japanese because they seem to be in everything, but particularly in "epic" dramatic works.
