Didn't feel like digging it up, and that one is old anyways.

Anywho, post thoughts on game now that it's out. Achievements and the like.

My chart currently on scorehero.com. I have some work to do. Been unlocking stuff before going into expert too much. All the expert scores were done today.

Best Song in Game = Jessica - The Allman Brothers Band
Funnest Song = Rock This Town - Stray Cats
Worst Song = Institutionalized - Suicidal Tendencies
Most Physically Painful Song = Freya - The Sword
Best Character = Lars Umlaut
Best New Costume = Judy Nails' Snakes
Best Guitar = Cherry Swirl Finish
Best Venue =Motherfucking Stonehenge

Haha, wow, by Scorehero, I think I'm rated in the top 3 for Can't You Hear Me Knocking on Hard.

I somehow pulled out a 100% on that song first try. Which brings up something interesting. When you 100% a song, the game gives you a special ranking. Whereas normally when you get 5 stars, they look like 5 drawn stars and shit, if you get a 100%, they show up as gold stars.

I'm #1 on Cherry Pie - Medium. 8)

Freya is a great song to listen to, but absolutely horrible to play.

Pandora's new leathers outfit is the bomb diggity. I break Lars out for all the heavier songs, but otherwise Pandora runs the bass/rhythm for Trapped Under Ice.

I haven't gotten GH2 yet, though. Need money.

I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piƱa coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

The Sword makes songs that don't sound like trash? Color me surprised. I forget what album of theirs I had listened to, but it was pretty rough!

He's lying. Freya is boring, repetitive, and downright lame.

Also Rock This Town is only the funnest song on Hard. It's ARGH on Expert.

I need to learn how to do Hammer-ons/Pull-offs better so I can actually play Less Talk More Rokk on Expert. It sounds pretty cool, and I like the fact that there's actually very little strumming in it if you can play it right.

But ohgod it's fast.

Play Jessica or Freebird on Expert in practice mode, slowed down to next-to-slowest.

I've beaten Guitar Hero on expert several times over, but to this day, I simply cannot master hammer-ons and pull-offs properly. Or strumming up and down for that matter. I have some horrible inability to strum up and down if a song has anything other than a constant rhythm.

My scorehero sheet is here, however, Guitar Hero 2 scores will not be posted until I go pick the game up tomorrow.

HOs and POs are infinitely better in this.

If the HO/PO system of 2 was in 1, I would have beaten Cowboys by now.

Fucking cowboys. :/

Nope. I have no clue how to do the main riff. I have it set in my head to press my fingers the wrong way.

You have to start playing on green, then shift back down to red.

G, R, G, R, G, R, Y, B, Y, B, O I think it goes.

You want to play on green for all the green, obv, then shift to red halfway through.

Oh, I know how I'm supposed to do it. My fingers are too downsy to figure it out though.

Whatever. I'm hoping that with enough practice in GH2, I'll go back and finish GH1.

Beat the game on easy, and almost have it done on medium. Not bad for my first Guitar Hero game. I love the whole encore system.

For me it just took practice until I managed to hit the majority of the main riff.

Once I got that down, I 3-starred it no prob.

Also managed to 5 star all songs on Hard in GH1 like a week ago.

I beat and four-starred Hangar 18 on my first try. Four star on Freebird, as well.

Institutionalized is a horrible, horrible song and I hope they never bother with those type of songs ever again.

Jordan is absolute rape, but I love listening to it. Can only get about 60% of the way through that beast. Soy Bomb and Push Push Lady Lightning are also sweet indies to look for. Elephant Bones is just groovy.

Killing in the Name remains one of my favorite songs to play. As well as Search and Destroy. Jessica, of course, is awesome as well.

Just blasted (slowly) my way through Easy mode tonight, unlocking the two guitars. I might hit up medium later this week, if I have the patience for it.

GH has full length songs and you don't get sweaty playing it. And GH has good music, which is always a plus.

It's just better in every way, shape and form, sry japafags. Stop at a Best Buy and give the display a try; they should still have them set up with full versions of the first game.

Freebird will probably do the trick. Tried that a couple of times last night. It'll definitely build some strength in my left hand, that's for sure.

Though I think Carry Me Home on Hard will work pretty well too.

Edit: Oh, and there's something I don't like about the new HO/PO system. You can't really strum HO/POs anymore like you could in GH1.
