Who the heck is CNN's wishy-washy legal analyst there? Before the verdict was read, he was talking about how a guilty verdict would show the world that the US court system works, and then after the verdict was annouced, he goes on to say that the acquittals show that the jury system worked!
I hope he didn't get whiplash...

The man needs mental help, that is fairly obvious and has been for a while, he is mentally unstable which many practicing psychs have commented on. The fact that he wanted to play peter pan and sleep with these children is enough to warrant some lawful intervention whether he actually molested them or not. Hell the dangling the baby incident should have been enough to get him slapped with something, but he was able to dodge that purely because he was Michael Jackson.
Of course I dont think someone should be convicted of crimes they didn't commit, it was an overexhagerated statement pointing out both he, and the public, would be better off if he had been.
I sort of wanted him to be found guilty for the sole sake of seeing how him being sentenced to prison played out. I'm fairly certain that when you are convicted of a child abuse type charge, you aren't sentenced to a Martha Stewart Camp Cupcake type prison.

Yes, and it's pretty pathetic. Although its the way it is due to grey areas. I mean where do you draw the line. For example, if my girls were to come crawl into bed with me in the middle of the night for whatever reason, nightmares or whatnot, I wouldn't wanna be concidered a bad person because of it.
However, it's not so grey in his case so I dont understand why they wont. I mean, its beyond inappropriate. These are near teen or teen age boys, unless they have some bizzare fears, and they are not his own kids. Thats just wrong on so many levels. In the same case as above, there's no way my daughters friends would be crawling into bed with me and my wife. And just listening to him talk about why he does it and feels it okay just way to close to home as listening to how some pedophiles try to justify thier actions with children as being genuine love. It's rather pathetic.
