I'm glad he's gone. I hope he stays gone, for good. But, I already know what's going to happen now. He's going to go find another forum to troll. He's going to get another entire forum directory named after him, filled with posts of sheer stupidity. he's not going to learn anything from this, he's just going to go somewhere else and do it there, too. And while I feel sorry for the next group of people he's going to annoy the living fuck out of... I can't help but be grateful it's not these forums anymore.
TO SOMTHOR!
May he always be a reminder to us, when we greet newbies, that no matter how bad they may be, there's always someone far worse than them who could be trolling these boards.

I like pie.
Indeed. Pie is a wonderfully delicious, diversely flavoured food the likes of which may never be seen in any other baked goods with equal reknown, size, adaptabilty, designability(On the top, dudes), or sheer steal-from-the-neighbor's-window-sill possibilties. I really enjoyed ignoring him.

I liked using ignore on him so I didn't have to see his threads. Plus, as snarky as I feel sometimes, if I saw his posts I just know I would have been more than tempted to respond. Ignore was a good thing.

Same here, though I was tempted to include ignoring everyone who quoted him. Maybe the board will come back to life now. I hope.
He shall be missed

That was said with much too much excitement. You fail at apathy. Zair fucked around with this message on 05-13-2004 at 02:18 AM.
I do not, and totally refuse to, remember anybody by that name.
He can just make a second account like anyone else who was ever banned...
/dances
Now that that's out of the way...I gave him shit more than most. I did try to give him advice on how not to be such a raging dickhead. He never listened. But I never ignored him, simply because I refuse to ignore anyone. At this point, hopefully he'll take the hint and not come back. Assuming, that is, that he isn't permabanned.

During his entire time here, Somthor did make one potentially worthwhile post. It was four paragraphs long, and until I reached the fourth one, I thought I was reading a post by mog. Then I got to the end, noticed an inconsistency from mog's usual style, went back to check the name, and thought, "Hmm, well wha'd'ya know."
For the most part, however, he tended to stick his own head on the chopping block. He didn't understand, and refused to acknowledge, that his IQ was below 5000 (with 100 being average and 140 being genius). Regardless of whatever sinister forces caused his distorted perception of reality, he proceeded to attempt the role of ultimate superbeing... and failed miserably. Some of his statements were meaningless or irrelevant, while others proved outright offensive, or managed to derail topics through sheer stupidity.
Though some people may think he didn't realize what he was doing, and there is certainly evidence to support that assumption, Somthor made two gestures which indicated he understood the depths of his missteps. First, he subscribed, affording him a degree of protection against administrative wrath. Second, on one (and only one) occasion, when confronted with his utter stupidity and given numerous well-thought-out methods of improving himself, he basically stated that he refused to change, and if people had a problem with him, then they should ignore him, because obviously if he was as big of a nuisance as people said, he would've already been banned. He then proceeded to rant about free speech and all the usual arguments.
Bah. I feel like I've written an essay, but there's no introductory paragraph or conclusion.
In conclusion... Somthor was banned. Pie all around.
I offer you all presents!

Presents...from a lawyer....
Is there an EULA, license, terms of use, or other such contract involved on the receipt of said present?
I'm glad Somthor's gone. I usually was able to just ignore his posts, but he had a major, disruptive effect on the boards, and ended up sidetracking many, many threads. IMHO, the boards will be better for the lack of him (until the next troll is lured into the boards, and we go through this all again.)
No matter what he is like in real life, he has no online social skills at all.
